It's also known as You better watch out. I'm thinking of getting the DVD. To my surprise Leonard Maltin gave it a very good review, calling it "A sleeper, with cult status possibilities." Anyway, thoughts on this? And how does it compare to my other two Christmas favorites - Silent Night, Deadly Night and Black Christmas.

Chistmas Evil is pure cheese. If you're looking for a good laugh then pick up this "classic". My buddies and I used to have a contest to find the worst horror films and this masterpiece got the nod for quite a while.

If you ever wanted to know what happens when a little boy sees Santa kissing mommy's thighs, then pick up this stinker.

CHRISTMAS EVIL is a great movie, and one of the best of the holiday horror movies. The acting is great, the story interesting, and the outcome very haunting. CHRISTMAS EVIL is an overlooked gem. It was even on Roger Ebert's list of the top ten best films of 1980.

This belongs in General Horror Talk. Christmas Evil is far from current. Moving...

My god this one is a stinker !!!!
The end is so so stupid !!
It is not really a horror film but more a social film according to me but I does not go as far as Ken Loach's films of course, it is not Raining Stones or My Name Is Joe.

W. E. Sawyer- You're my kind of guy. I loved the Silent Night, Deadly Night series. Oddly enough though, I have yet to see Black Christmas(I have heard of it, enver seen it, but WILL) and heck, I have never even heard of this movie you are talking about.
Where the heck have I been? I guess I am just picky about my anti-Xmas movies. But not no more. I tell ya, next Christmas, I will be stocked on horror Christmas movies.
Family already thinks I am a side-show freak for owning the "Silent Night, Deadly Night" series.

I am back! Like any of you care, right? ;-)

Just wanting to say thanks very much for the tip on this movie. I checked the imdb.com. Some people compare this to a Christmas Taxi Driver. And Taxi Driver is one of my fav movies. This movie sounds great. I am bidding on it right now on ebay. Damn me for not buying this sooner. Like before Christmas. I would have loved to have watched this along with Silent Night, Deadly Night. Oh well. NEXT YEAR....
