I really like 'The Hunger' from 1983 starring Catherine Deneuve and David Bowie.
If you disregard the science shown in this movie a bit, it is damn good.
Which is your favourite Vampire Movie?

From Dusk Till Dawn is my fav.
I just rented The Lost Boys,I heard that was pretty good.

I'd say Salem's Lot, despite not showing the vampires very often in the movie, this makes it more subtle and unnerving. Other favorites include Bram Stoker's Dracula, From Dusk Till Dawn, and Fright Night. Vamp isn't all that bad, it is quite enjoyable.

Well, I'm still hoping for another movie like 'Interview' or 'Hunger'.
By the way, I love both 'Dusk' and 'Fright Night', but not for being good vampire movies http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif
PS.
I'd really like to kick Tim Metcalfe's ass (the writer of Fright Night 2). Like I mentioned before, I hate stupid movies, and what I hate even more are stupid sequels to clever movies.

If you can find it, check out Daughters of Darkness, a vampire flick from the early 70's. This flick is elegant, sexy and has a gorgeous cast. More akin to The Hunger than Interview.

From Dusk Till Dawn (haven't really seen any others though)

The Hunger is a big-time ripoff of Daughters of Darkness (Have I mentioned this is my favourite film) but it's still quite stylish.

There are two movies titled "Daughters of Darkness", one from 1971 (aka "Rouge aux lèvres, Le")and one from 1974 (aka "Vampyres"). I suppose you are referring to the 1971 movie. Intrestingly, the 1974 flick gets a higher rating at imdb.com

I seem to recall seeing another vampire flick with a very similar title late one night on TV. It might have been 'Daughter' rather than 'Daughters of Darkness'. Probably made in the eighties or the early nineties. I can't remember much about but it wasn't very good.

My favorite would be 'Cronos'

My all-time favorite would probably have to be Salem's Lot. Vampires don't get much scarier than that.
Honorable mentions:
Dracula (1931)
Horror of Dracula
Martin
The Lost Boys
Fright Night
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Interview with the Vampire
From Dusk Till Dawn

Suprised no one here has mentioned the Addiction, especially when your doing a "complete vampire list" An interesting little film.

My complete/ultimate vampire list included those which I recommend. My favorites. Films such as Bram Stroker's DRACULA and THE ADDICTION didn't make the cut because I didn't like them!!!
Okay, fine. As I said Addiction is an interesting film worth watching, in my opinion. I Agree about BS's Dracula, though.

I'm probably the only one, but I love these three the most. Roman Polanski's THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS, Paul Morrisey's BLOOD FOR DRACULA and George Romero's MARTIN, followed closely by Hammer Films DRACULA, PRINCE OF DARKNESS and INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE. Plenty more greats but I love those with a particular fondness. Wait! I forgot HABIT. It's great indie-vamp fun.

I always liked SUBSPECIES. Not the best production values in the world, but definitely a quality flick. Other so note (most of which have already been mentioned) include NOSFERATU, DRACULA (Bela Lugosi version), THE LOST BOYS, INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE, VAMPIRE HUNTER D, FRIGHT NIGHT, FROM DUSK TIL DAWN (the first one only), PRINCE OF DARKNESS, and SHADOW OF THE VAMPIRE.

Yes, The Fearless Vampire Killers is one of my all time favourites. I love that jewish vampire.. and the gay son of Krolock is hillarious! But the funniest character of them all is Professor Abronsius.

As my friends in The Clash like to say, Rock the Casbal. The Fearless Vampire Killers is a stonking great flick! The ravishing Sharon Tate blows me away every time and the homoerotic stuff is extremely funny.

Going back to the subject of Daughters of Darkness there is a horrible film with the title Daughter of Darkness starring Anthony Perkins where the vampires bite with (I kid you not) fangs in their tongues!!! And it's just as crap as it sounds. Avoid.
