I saw this film on the shelve in my local video store. I never rented it. The cover has a skill with sunglasses on. Has anybody seen it or can you give me any information about it?

Mid-80s very low budgeted movie about ghosts of civil war soldiers taking revenge on a modern platoon that is training in the woods. I've seen it in a store too and thought about renting it, but I'm not that interested.

i saw this movie a long time ago and my memories of it are somewhat vague but basically it's about about a group of modern day army recruits who are on some kind of training exercise and they camp out in some woods somewhere in north alabama. it so happens that the place where they're at was the site of a civil war battle in which confederate soldiers and their families were massacred by the union. now they're back from the grave for revenge and the army people start meeting their deaths.
most people who reviewed this film didn't like it much and thought it was dull but i rather enjoyed it myself. if you like eerie backwoods settings, old cabins, and rustic civil war stuff then give it a try. most people consider this a zombie film and i guess they expect alot of action and gore and are disappointed when they don't get it. it does have a few zombies but is really more of a somber, quietly-paced ghost story. i say give it a try but just don't expect a big thrill ride.
