What movie is this?!?

I know there`s already like a million topics with people looking for the title of a movie, but, well, I can`t for the life of me remember the title of this damn movie!
-I saw it on HBO years ago, maybe back in the 80`s.
-It`s about students on a field trip. Something happens where they are attacked and followed by a group of thugs - each of the thugs is wearing a different, weird mask. I mean, they were really weird masks!
-The teacher with the kids was a young attractive woman.
-I remember a scene where the kids end up in some underground cavern with water. The hot teacher and one male student have to swim through a part of the cavern, or something like that.
-I definetly remember a scene where the kids & the teacher knock on a door of a house, trying to get help. An old lady answers the door and looks really freaked-out. Then, one of the mask-guys appears behind the old lady!
Well, that`s everything I can remember. This movie really freaked me out when I was little.
Anyone have ANY idea what it is?

I remember this one. I think it was called Fortress. It was a made for HBO movie or something. Rachel Ward was the teacher. I thought everyone in the movie had Australian acents. The thugs wore different masks like a duck and a mouse.

Like Hans said.Fortress.This was an awesome movie.They still run it on HBO every so often.
