View Full Version : Does anyone know the title of this movie?
I saw it about a year ago on video and I know it has been on the Starz cable channel. It featured (3) vignettes. One had a couple in a mobile home being tormented by zombie-like creatures. Another one had a little girl meeting a killer on the internet. It was a play on the old urban legend that had the girl reach down from bed to pet her dog and the killer was under the bed licking her hand. I don't remember what the third story was about. I think it was called something like Terror Tales or Campfire tales. Help!!

Campfire tales is pretty cool actually and one should rent it along with After Midnight which in my opinion goes rather well with Campfire Tales.
And Jewbo my husband says the movie you are asking about is Legend. So could it be? Sounds like it to me also, rather similar.

When I first joined I was more of a fan of Jason than I am now, but I still think he's cool. Michael is just as cool although I like the Friday the 13th series better (doesn't try to be too complicated, just good old teens getting slashed up by a zombie ). I'll admit there were some bad (some VERY bad) parts to the series, but thier more of a personal favorite. Although I'd still go for a Michael movie anyday. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

CAMPFIRE TALES (1997) Directed by Matt Cooper, Martin Kunert and David Semel.
In this anthology horror film featuring five short stories based upon real-life urban legends, Christopher Masterson (“Malcolm In The Middle”) and Jay R. Ferguson (the cool WB series “Glory Days”) star as two studs who tell the title tales to their girlfriends (Christine Taylor of “The Brady Bunch Movie” and Kim Murphy) while stranded along a roadside after a rock concert.
These horrific tales of yore include: (1) In “The Hook”, the makeout session of two young lovers (James Marsden and Amy Smart) is interrupted by an escaped lunatic. (2) “The Honeymoon” tells the tale of newlyweds (Ron Livingston and Jennifer MacDonald) traveling in a camper who are terrorized by backwood cannibals. (3) “People Can Lick Too” concerns two teen sisters (Alex McKenna and Devon Odessa) stalked by an Internet pedophile. (4) In “The Locket”, Glenn Quinn meets an otherworldly woman (Jacinda Barrett). (5) And the afore-mentioned wrap-around story “The Campfire”, which provides the film’s most startling twist.
“The Campfire”, “The Hook” and “People Can Lick Too” are easily the best of these tales. “The Honeymoon” is a mediocre, expanded version of the much-too-short “Hook” segment. Fast-forward through “The Locket”.
My overall grade: B

Dumb, huh?
Freddy Krueger is a monolithic behemoth. He stands for all that is evil in this world, and portrays a power far greater than any mere mortal; be it man or beast.
But aye, Jason and Myers are cool too.
