Hey everybody Chinton here with a most excellent post( actually a question).

Remember in the Twilight Zone movie in the Lithgow segment when Akrowd says that supremely creepy last line in the ambulance, "Wanna see something really scary."

Is Akrowd really that goblin thing in human form.

Thanks everybody

Yes, that was the "wrap-around" story, the prologue-epilogue segments.

~SPOILER ALERT~

In the prologue, Dan Aykroyd and Albert Brooks are traveling on a deserted stretch of mountain highway.

After singing theme songs from several television series (including the title show), they attempt to one-up each other by saying: "you wanna see something really scary?". Brooks turns off the car's headlights and drives in the darkness to scare Aykroyd, who then turns into a monster, and kills Brooks.

Interesting. I'd have to see it again but I never got the impression the goblin and ackroyd were one and the same. But I haven't seen the film for years.

Same here Malaria. I've seen this movie several times but never got the impression that Ackroyd was the human form of the goblin on the plane. And I don't think he is. They are two different creatures in my opinion.

Aykroyd wasn't the goblin on the plane, he was the hitchhiker traveling with Albert Brooks in the opening scene, who turns into a monster (which looks quite different from the goblin).

Of course Ackroyd is that monster in the opening of the film. That part is obvious. But it seemed that chinton was questioning if he was the goblin on the plane also.

yes I realize its the goblin in the beggining but I never saw the beggining of the movie so I assumed the last scene in the ambulance was still part of that segment. Personally I loved that line Akrowd says. I use it a lot in life.

"Wanna see something really scary!"
