I want to know how you got into the horror genre. Did you find it,or did it find you? I think I found horror movies. When I was in Kindergarten,my father watched Tales From The Crypt http://www.joblo.com/ubb/biggrin.gifemon Night. I watched it with him. Well,I had to stop watching it after a woman got her arm ripped off,but I got hooked. But I was introduced to classics like TCM when I came to this site. Now I'm a die-hard fan.

It definetly found me. It was the night before Halloween, and my friend Jeremy was staying over. We were writing a story together(which actually turned out to be really cool)and I had the TV Channel on USA. All of the sudden, this really cool and creepy music comes on and I look at the TV. There is a black screen and a jack-o-lantern, then it reads across the screen: Halloween. That is how horror found me. Halloween got me into the genre

Horror also found me as well.
I just happened to walk into my cousin's room when Ash's sister was being raped by trees.....the following hour and few minutes changed my life forever. They not only got me into horror, but also in film.....

I guess I found it, when I was in grade school I'd read these "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" books. Later on I'd seek out other horror anthologies.

I found horror. Back when I was seven I saw a film with a cool cover on it that my family had rented. I was curious to how it was so I popped it in. This film was "The Thing" by the way and ever since that first film I saw, I have been hooked ever since. Stefan's out.

The first horror movie I saw was The Thing ( 82 ) and it was by random.
It was on tv and I saw it and I was really impressed and scared.
So I think horror found me.

Cyclonus, I think it was the book series along the lines of scary stories to tell in the dark. They had these pictures of women who are decomposed and on e had a story about a bride who played hide and seek ended up never being found.
Those books scared me shitless.
Horror found mE.

Horror found me. I always knew about Freddy Krueger and all that, but never really watched any horror movies. However, I was about 5 or 6 and I was watching Hamburger Hill with my dad, and one of the trailers at the start was for "Dolls".
I crapped my pants, and vowed never to see that movie. The next day I went with my dad to the video store and they had a huge "Dolls" cardboard cutout. Again, I crapped myself. My dad, the evil bastard, rented it out and I sat through the scariest hour and a half of my life. But I wanted more. And so on.

Horror found me. When I was young, my brother and his homeys used to rent lots of horrormovies. Sometimes I watched some to; I was scared to death when I saw parts of Child's Play and It. (I was freaked out by something that looks "good" but turns out to be "evil" like Chuck and Pennywise). I felt horrified, but I also kinda liked it... I've been afraid of horrormovies 'till I was about 12, but I loved horrorbooks then. One night, when Vampire in Brooklyn was on tv, I decided it was time to get over my fear and watched it. Since that day, I've been a horrorfan. I think the reason I love Freddy, Chucky and all those others so much now, is that my brother told me about them when I was young. Thanx!
