Well what do you guys think? I really don't know how to predict this upcoming week's box office... If you can only see 1 of the 3 new films, which one will you see? I will see Spy Kids, dunno why, maybe cuz Joblo gives it 8/10... It's gonna be a very interesting week at the box office /ubb/smile.gif

1. Spy Kids 15-30 million.
2. Someone like you 5-10 million
3. Tomcats 5-10 million
I don't really know much about Someone Like You and Tomcats, but they seem pretty bad. Spy Kids should be very big. I predict it will cross 100 million... So far all reviews have been really positive and it's likely to be embraced by kids and adults alike.
I would either see TOMCATS or SOMEONE LIKE YOU, I don't really have any desire to see SPYKIDS and I don't know if it will even do that great at the box office, the previews don't make it look that great. I have faith in TOMCATS, It should definately get the guys' attention, the previews make it look great, very funny and lots of sexy babes, I'm totally down with it... SOMEONE LIKE YOU looks sweet and funny and Ashley Judd is in it, need I say more. Rolling Stone magazine liked SOMEONE LIKE YOU and said it was a fun romantic comedy, and I think it will be... It will be interesting to see how this next weekends Box Office turns out, it's really hard to guess... If I had to guess I'd say:
1. TOMCATS 15-30 mil
2. SOMEONE LIKE YOU 10-13 mil
3. SPYKIDS 8-10 mil
4. HEARTBREAKERS 6-8 mil
5. THE BROTHERS 5-6 mil
I'm probably all wrong but it's just a guess... SPYKIDS probably will do better than what I said but it's probably just because I don't have any desire to see it that I don't think it will do that good. I don't get it, what is it with that movie, what's so special about SPYKIDS? I don't know if it will make 100 mil at all, maybe 60 mil, but I'm thinking lower... It just looks like another kids movie, or family movie, or whatever you want to call it... Anyway, TOMCATS looks awesome, most movies that show sexy girls half nude on the previews make money, and I think that's the case with this one, I really do think it will do really good. I think it will be the next big gross out comedy... And SOMEONE LIKE YOU looks great and Ashley Judd will draw in a lot of people, but I think some people are getting sick of romance movies because there's quite a few of them. But most of them are teen romance movies and this one is more for adults, but some teens will be interested to. I think it will do ok, I don't think it will be a big flop. I think it will either do ok or will be a big hit, one of them because I just don't see it being a flop... Anyway, those are my thoughts, I guess we'll see next weekend what happens /ubb/smile.gif!
I will be very surprised though if TOMCATS is a flop, it looks like a winner and the previews gotta get peoples attention, it's a winner, I can feel it...
I change my mind, after reading a bunch of positive reviews for SPYKIDS I kind of want to see it, and I guess it does look like it might be fun, I'm still not highly anticipating it's arrival, but I think I'll check it out on video... I still would rather see TOMCATS and SOMEONE LIKE YOU though... And I think SPYKIDS might be #1 at the box office this next weekend, and if it is TOMCATS will at least come in second, and SOMEONE LIKE YOU #3, and HEARTBREAKERS #4, and THE BROTHERS #5...

Spy Kids just did 27 million. I already expected it to make more than 100 million... Now I predict it will do AT LEAST 150 million and might go north of 200... This is because the film is getting highly positive reviews and the word of mouth seems to be exceptionally good.
I'm happy that Rodriguez finally has a big hit in his hands. You have always ruled, dude!

Same here, Tuukka. Robert Rodriguez lives in my hometown and shot the movie there. I'm happy for him.

It must be really cool to have a famous director living in your hometown /ubb/smile.gif

Has anyone seen the movie? What are your thoughts about it? I checked out the SPY kids web site, http://www.spykids.com/homepage and it looks pretty cool.
