Can anyone tell me if Friday the 13th Part 7 will make in on DVD unrated soon. Or will it be cut BADLY like it alrady is?

I don't think it will be the uncut/unrated version like it should be, it will maintain the bare bones quality of all the other F13 DVDs released thus far. And Pt 7 could REALLY use that cut footage, it would improve the movie a lot.

Friday Part 7 and 8 are slated for an October 2002 release on DVD, I also highly they will be un-cut (damn Paramount). I've heard that JGTH will also come out on DVD around that time and since New Line is handling it, I expect lots of extras.

Maybe we should ALL buy the Jason Goes To hell DVD and hope it becomes the top Friday seller DVD and show Paramount we want Extras, AND uncut versions.

I figure Paramount will do what Anchor Bay did with the Halloween DVD's - release a bare bones version first, then a Special Edition with some extras, then a Deluxe package in a collector's tin with tons of extras, then a super-duper ultimate edition... you get the picture. As long as fans keep buying movies they already own, studios will keep putting out different "better" versions. At least I hope that is the case with the F13 movies - it may be the only way get to see some of that lost splatterific footage.

A bare bones version of JGTH is already out in Britain( it's uncut I think, though).

As for 13th 7 unrated, I would write to paramount UK and see what they have to say. I doubt the bbfc would cut it, given recent rule changes, so it is up to paramount. If you get a letter back from them I'd give it to melonfarmers.co.uk they are always interested in that sorta thing and it may encourage more letters.

(And before anyone asks, I am not plugging my own site here, I've no idea who runs it, but it is a fovourite of mine)
