I wonder what direction Lucas will take with Episode III.
I mean, will he make a completely dramatic story always focusing on Anakin and his total fall, or will he change the spotlight to Obi Wan so that audiences can have a hero and just make Anakin the bad guy halfway through the movie...
What do YOU think?

Hmmm?
Lets see. Well I'm not really trying to think about III right not when all I'm trying to mainly focus on is II. But now that you bring it up, I think that you have a good idea about the storyline, because people can't be focusing on Anne and then turn to like him only to find out that he's the big bad that kills all the Jedi (And my guy Obi in the future.)
We NEED a good guy to liven things up. We.. Need.. Our.. Hero's... Do YOU know any Hero's?

Hopefully Obi-Wan will be the hero we all root for in Ep 3. From what we see in the AOTC trailer, he seems to be developing that way.

Gentlemen,
I think the trailer of Episode II shows that we will start seeing Anakin's famed "turn" in episode II. Thus by the third one...he might be right at the turn to the darkside...I think by the end of episode II, the hero character will have shifted already to Obi-wan.
This is just what i think at least.

i read some comments by Chirstenson awhile ago that said he'll still remain on the light side throughout Ep. 2, but will have developed a mean streak. in Ep. 3, he fully turns by the end of the movie

that makes sense....although in a few moments in both trailers...the newer one as well as the romantic one...u seen that evil streak on him....i think at the end of EPII you will know the turn has begun....
Here is one question though...Lucas dazzled us with the impressive jedi fight between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan against Maul. Now in the trailer of EPII you see Anakin fighting who i think his the Christopher Lee character...surely there is some other younger badazz Jedi that maybe Obi-wan and Anakin have to fight. Does anyone know if there is a better, much younger jedi that Anakin and/or Obi-wan will have to battle?
In the EPII trailer...anakin grabs another lightsaber and is fighting the Lee character..I think its Lee...with both sabers...it seems the one he grabs is blue...so whose saber is the additional one he grabs before fighting the Lee character????? anyone know?

Is Gabriel Byrne gonna be innit? Because I heard some rumors that he might be, but I haven't heard anything for a while
yeah i heard byrne would be in it... i find that really cool.
all i know is that it would be sweet if anakin and obi-wan fought like the EU says they did.
SPOILERS
they fight on a lava planet and obiwan knocks anakin in a lava pit... seriously injuring him and he has to don the vader outfit.

from what I read, Byrne might be in Ep. 3 as the young Grand Moff Tarkin, the main guy in command of the original Death Star. and vic, I highly doubt there's a younger Jedi they need to fight, since it doesn't mean another Jedi fight between 2 good Jedi and a bad one will occur. after all, they gotta fight in the Clone Wars

First off, I don't think Obi-Wan is going to be in Episode III. Of course, we all know he's not going to die in AOTC, but I believe something bad will happen to him. Which means that the final SW flick will focuse on Anakin's turn to the dark side, and that's it. And BTW, I think this will make a good title:

I think that in Episode III it will be an equal balance between Anakin and Obi-Wan. Lucas himself said that the first six movies were about Anakin's fall from light and then his eventual redemption at the hands of his son. Whether or not he turns by the end of Ep. II remains to be seen but I'm all but pretty sure that he is in the minor changes of being the bad ass sith lord by the end of II. I have also heard the Annie needs the suit because of the lava pit. Heard this might even happen in II but not sure at all. Rumor has it that Mace Windu might be responsible for this instead of Obi-Wan. Or maybe he and Obi-Wan were both going at him at the same time, I mean he is the choosen one so the possiblility isn't that far fetched. But i think the direction Lucas will take with episode III will be Anakin be seduced by the Dark Side, the end of the clone war, and the crumble of the republic.
I'm fairly sure that there isnt a younger sith in Ep. II. I'm not sure if chris Lee is even a sith, I heard he is one of the "lost 20". 20 jedi who left the jedi order to strike out on there own but they dont turn to the dark side. in the new trailer you see lee asking obi wan to join him to destroy the sith, maybe anakin does turn by the end of the movie and thats why hes fighting lee. but yeah these are all just educated guesses but im fairly sure im right. regaurdless ep. II and III are going to rock!

I suppose the saber Anakin grabs is of Obi-Wans or of another Jedi's Obi-Wan had borrowed.
here's something from aldera.net
Upon finding Dooku before he departs in his solar sailor, the Jedi ignite their lightsabres in prepration to battle the Sith Lord. Anakin charges into battle not heeding Obi-Wan's warnings. Just as the young apprentice is about to strike the first blow, Dooku calmly lifts his arm and the Jedi is lifted up and flung across the room into the opposite wall.
Obi-Wan sees this and fights furiously against the droids so he can get to Anakin - he doesn't want to leave his companion alone with a Sith Lord after he lost Qui-Gon that way in Episode I. Anakin and Dooku are now alone, and Obi-Wan fears he will lose Anakin just like he lost Qui-Gon.
Anakin is in a state of mental chaos. His mother has just been slain in front of his very eyes, he can't protect his love (Padme) from the battle outside, he has been separated from his master, and he's now engaged in a battle against one of the most powerful Force-wielders in the galaxy. Dooku sees Anakin's mental instability and can sense his fear. Using this to his advantage, he bullies Anakin for his own amusement. Dooku's intent at this moment is not to turn Anakin to the dark side, rather to amuse himself by messing with Anakin's head.
{Padme, at this time, has been rescued by Mace Windu after he lops off Jango's head. She joins the battle and leads a group of clonetroopers in the attack.}
Anakin basically gets his butt whooped by Dooku. Anakin somehow stops fighting with Dooku (I think he gets knocked off a ledge and they are separated) and Dooku makes his way to Obi-Wan. Dooku and Obi-Wan do battle.
Dooku is obviously a better fighter than Obi-Wan, using calculated moves and expending little energy in the fight. It's not the constant fighting like in Episode 1 - they talk quite a bit while fighting (like the saber fights in the old trilogy.) Dooku speaks to Obi-Wan almost hypnotically, telling him of the instability of the Republic and how it will crumble. Addressing him as "Master Kenobi," Dooku begs Obi-Wan to just kill him, then easily deflects his saber when the frustrated Jedi Knight attacks.
At some point during this battle, Dooku says to Obi-Wan "I have spent the last ten years learning to use the power of the dark side. It gives me infinitely more power!"
Finally Anakin returns to the battle and it's now a 2 on 1 situation. The battle continues and, while Obi-Wan appreciates the assistance, Dooku still overpowers both Jedi at the same time. He begins to taunt both of them now, and seems to be enjoying himself. Dooku pries into their deepest fears and regrets....
[At some point in this battle, Anakin and Obi-Wan are fighting Dooku and Obi-Wan falls down and out of the action. Anakin uses the force to call Obi-Wan's saber to his hand and he then starts wielding two sabers at Dooku.. When Obi-Wan gets back into the fight, Anakin tosses his saber back to him and the duel continues.]
[Next comes either version 1 or version 2, then to Enter Yoda]
Version 1:
....He begins to tell Anakin he's fighting a lost cause - he failed to protect his mother... just as he failed to protect Padme. Dooku tells Anakin she has been killed in the battle.
Anakin snaps. Out of pure rage, he swings furiously at Dooku who is a bit taken with the overwhelming power this young Jedi is displaying. Dark side emotions run through Anakin and Dooku is forced to defend himself with a little more caution. Obi-Wan finally rejoins the battle.
As the battle continues, Obi-Wan tries to control Anakin. He tells him to concentrate on the battle and not to think of Padme's death. Upon hearing what he believes in confirmation from his master, Anakin becomes so enraged he takes a swing at Obi-Wan.
Version 2:
....None of what's explained in Version 1 happens. Skip straight to Enter Yoda.
Enter Yoda:
Count Dooku continues to beat the bantha poodoo out of both Jedi at the same time. He force-throws things at them and they are both getting injured (similarly to Luke vs. Vader in ESB) Dooku then chops a large mechanical loading device (like a claw) and it begins to fall on Anakin and Obi-Wan. This device, however, does not land on the Jedi...... {DETAILS WITHHELD} ........ As Dooku sees Yoda enter the fight, he Force-throws objects at the two Jedi and knocks Anakin out. Dooku and Yoda then fight....
Yoda vs. Dooku - Version 1:
....Dooku and Yoda fight with lightsabers and Yoda kicks the snot out of Dooku. He rolls around on the ground extremely quickly (like Sonic the hedgehog.) The battle ends as Yoda Force-pushes Dooku off a ledge and the badly beaten Sith Lord runs to his ship.
Yoda vs. Dooku - Version 2:
....(no lightsaber action) The battle ends as Yoda Force-pushes Dooku off a ledge and the badly beaten Sith Lord runs to his ship.
After Dooku flees, Obi-Wan rushes over to Yoda who is extremely exhausted.
Commentary:
Lots of variations to explain here..
First off, does Anakin take a swipe at Obi-Wan?
Version 1 is based again on information from the set. This is NOT in the script. It was described to me that we see the moment Anakin snaps and starts going berserk on everyone around him. His rage ends when Dooku Force-throws a heavy object at him and it knocks him out. These scenes were shot very early on in production, which says to me one of two things: they wanted to shoot it secretly before too many people arrived or they used it as a way of testing the new technology they're using and to warm up Hayden for the rest of the production.. I do find it strange that they'd make Hayden do such an important sequence right away.. However, secret shooting is nothing new to Lucas.. the "I am your father" scene in The Empire Strikes Back was shot many different ways and it was not in the script during production.
Version 2 is simply what's in the script. Personally, I think we will see version 1 in the final product although it's a tough call.
Yoda vs. Dooku:
The outcome of this scene depends entirely on ILM. Christopher Lee is 2 meters tall and Yoda is about half a meter tall. How in blazes will that look on camera?? It may look great - it may look stupid. The script describes very briefly a lightsaber battle between Yoda and Dooku (as written in version 1). Version 2 is what they will do if this Yoda vs Dooku fight turns out to look ridiculous! They will skip it.
