I have heard it is very good, but very perturbing as well. I am interested in seeing it but never seem to be in the right mood. Maybe you guys can help me out here. Whats your take on it?

BTW Spoiler warnings please!

A sequel? Haven't heard of. (Well I don't at least remember anything from a sequel)

I didn't like it the first time I saw it, but I loved it the second time (go figure...).
The sequal is more of a regular slasherflick, but it's dead good... Craven directed them both.

I was born in '81 and have been exposed to the recent 20 years worth of horror films (though I enjoy classics like The Exorcist, Frankenstein, Dracula, etc.), and I personally found the film to be really out dated. I am sure it's a cult-classic Craven film, but I personally thought it blew.

I've seen this movie and can't say that I really liked it. It was decent enough though. If you can find the sequel rent that instead it's the superior film. Or you could try similar(and better) movies like Last House on the Left or Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Outdated. Are you out of your mind. It was 100 times better than the crap wes craven has been giving us lately. Scream blew!!!!!!!!! Hills Have Eyes is a classic. It was the movie that introduced us to genre icons like Michael Berryman and Dee Wallace Stone.

Well, I kinda liked this movie, but The Evil Demonic Zombie does have a point: it`s just a teensy-weensy bit outdated. That doesn`t make it BAD, though.
