What is the movie that will soon be out that lookes the worst. It should be within the next year or so.
I think it is Scooby Doo. It lookes so stupid and Freddie Prinze Jr is a bad actor for the part.

I would've said Resident Evil but that's not upcoming anymore. Scooby Doo is very close to winning that title, but I think I'll give it to Scorpion King instead. When I saw the trailer I didn't know should I laugh or cry...and I dind't have time to make that decision since I fell asleep halfway through it.

Scooby Doo looks great!!! Check out the new full-length trailer for it, it's hilarious. The filmmakers seem as if they have kept the feel of the series in the film!
Now for bad, The Rookie, The Scorpion King and National Lampoon's Van Wilder all look terrible to me!

The new trailer is as funny as my ass doing a Freddy Prinze jr. impression. I cheered up after seeing Sarah Michelle though. And what's with the dog?

THE SCORPION KING definitely looks horrible. Please, stop trying to convince us that the Rock can act, and let the Mummy rest in peace.

I guess me and ideal are the only ones who think Scooby-Doo looks good. I love the cartoon, and wasnt expecting an Oscar-winning film, so im sure it`ll be just fine. My worst looking movie is, however, The Scorpion King. I feel embaressed just to be watching it.

Scorpion King looks absolutely horrible. Nothing in the trailers makes me want to see the movie. At least the Mummy Returns had a great, light-hearted atmosphere and fun action scenes. Scorpion King looks to have none of that stuff. Plus, early word of mouth on it has been nothing but horrible.

Okay i got to bitch now! Insomnia looks excellent! I cant believe someone said it didnt look interesting at all, but oh well.
Scooby Doo, even though i am a fan of the Doo, looks God-awful. I will most likely see it cause i see all movies that come out, but right now...i am not remotely excited about seeing it at all!
Jason X looks like an embarrassing addition to the Friday the 13th series...How come this series hasnt just freakin died already? where else will Jason turn up? in Atlantis fighting Aquaman? What about Jason takes the White House? or Friday the 13th part 700: Jason fucks up a Retirement Village. I have another stupid question...what the hell is Jason eating in the woods to build himself up like a mountain? God! Jason X makes the entire Friday the 13th series look like craps! Fans of the series ought to fight to not let Jason X hit the theaters at all!!!!!
XXX looks like The Fast and the Furious with more gadgets besides the cars now.
Very few movies this summer look that interesting outside of episode II and Spiderman.

I dread the day Scooby Doo comes to theaters. And I won't even aknowledge the fact that The Scorpion King is getting made.

I don't think will see anything worse our way this year then was Crossroad.... Well, I hope! Any fucking teen movies can get worse and worse doh. It's like a cancer.
I can't agree w/ some of you: i think Scooby Doo and Insomnia look good.
The Scorpion King looks like it will bomb horribly and Enough doesn't have a thing to make me wanna go see it... or maybe two things will make me wanna see it http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Am I the only one who think Scorpion King looks good. The first trailer was bad, but the second was good in my opinion. The rock, that guy can act, ever watch WWF or any of you guys still think its real. He can act like Arny. He wont be a good actor, juss an action star.
now for the worst looking movies:
Scooby Doo

The Scorpion King looks like a really fun movie, one that will definetly be better then the very very very very bad looking Death To Smoochy. That is the film that gets my vote, it looks like garbage, the plot is stupid, the dialoge sucks, everything about the trailer just screms "TRASH". It looks like an episode of Barney gone bad. Shit, an episode of Barney is probably gonna be better then this trash. But, you see, I'm the kind of person that judge's a movie after I've seen it. This does look bad, but I will see it just so I can actually find if it's as bad as the trailers make it out to be.

I think that's what DTS is all about. And The Scorpion King better than Death To Smoochy?! Are you kidding? I suppose you think Hulk Hogan in Mr.Nanny was oscar material.

Yeah, where the hell was his nomination??? Damn it, he should have won! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif No, seriously though when I said that Scorpion King was going to be better I meant entertainment wise, and nothing else. Smoochy does not look entertaining in the least bit, SK does.

I happen to think Scorpion King is going to be a good "rock-em sock-em" flick that action fans will enjoy. As for my opinion on what I think will be the worst upcoming film, thats easy, Star Wars Episode 2. I am not a fan of the SW Series and I dont give a rats ass about the next ones.

*stands up*
Matrix 2!
It will suck and everyone will love it, why?, you may ask.....because it was "cool".
Lame, borring, same old same old, sorry ass bullshit as the 1st.
Oh...want another...I don't need a trailer to know it will suck.
Red Dragon!
A remake to a really kickass movie, that didn't need to be remade to start with, just so the studio can make some money and everyone will love because they haven't seen the orginal and/or Hopkins is in it.
On top of that IT'S A FUCKING PREQUEL with an older Hoppkins and Ralph Finns(I think) playing a killer that was orginaly 6 feet tall.
This will be a prime example of the "good actors bad movie" syndrom.
To top everything off....IT'S DIRECTED BY THE FUCKHEAD THAT DID RUSH HOUR 1 AND 2 and that's all he's done.
I'm sorry, I want this film to suck, I hoping this film will suck, I have a gut feeling this film will...you guessed it...suck.

I've got to agree with EBastard here, DTM. Even if Death to Smoochy doesn't look good to you (it looks good to me), I don't see how it could look anywhere as bad as The Scorpion King. Have you seen the previews? It looks like Razzie-material for sure!

Entertainment wise, colin, entertainment wise. Scorpion King looks much more entertaining then Smoochy does. And I don't understand who you're agreeing with here? I mean EBastard just agreed with me that SK will be more entertaining then DTS. And I really don't understand all the backlash towards this movie (TSK)? It seems to me that some people have gotten so obsessed with overly dramatic movies and dark comedys that they have forgotten why movies are made in the first place. It seems as if I'm the only person who can enjoy or love both Dramatic films and "popcorn" films. Why cant people overlook bad acting, bad story, and bad dialoge and just sit back and be entertained? These dramatic flicks have brainwashed some people making them think that anything but that type sucks the big one. It's quite sad, really. I'm not trying to point fingers at anyone here, I'm just stating something that I have noticed in the past month.

SORORITY BOYS - I will avoid this movie like the plague.
JONAH: A VEGGIETALES MOVIE - I think this one explains itself.
FRANK MCCLUSKY, C.I. - I've barely heard about this one, but what I have read is enough to keep me away.
UNDERCOVER BROTHER - The trailer is absolutely horrendous.
LIKE MIKE - Please, don't allow anyone else use "Lil'" in their name.
JUWANNA MANN - See SORORITY BOYS above.

Well, there are certainly films coming up that I won't be seeing...Accidental Spy and Changing Lanes being two.
I'm looking forward to checking out The Rookie and Panic Room next weekend along with High Crimes the weekend after.
For those of you who are against Sorority Boys...you are going to miss out. I checked it out the other night at a sneak and it was really really funny! They did things that I couldn't believe - totally reminded me of Animal House and American Pie...good blend of clean and rauncy humor!

No he didn't. At least, I don't think so. In his last post he said "Come to think of it now...same here." I think that's where you think he agrees with you, but what I think he meant was that he was also referring to the entertainment value. EBastard, maybe you could straighten this out for us?

What could possibly make you think this? Resident Evil, Queen of the Damned, etc are making tons of money! People still enjoy fun movies, I don't get why you think they don't...
The backlash on TSK isn't backlash because it's a "fun" action movie, only because it looks really lousy.

Don't think ur the only person who can enjoy a popcorn movie. it seems kinda egotistical to say that (and because of that, I know ur gonna reply to this message). but I enjoy dramatic movies like the rest of the people here. I enjoyed Resident Evil cause of its popcorn nature. but TSK just looks like a plain-old bad movie, like Planet of the Apes 2001, or Rollerball

Wait, hold up, Queen of the Damned made a ton of money?? When? I know it opened at number one but now it's not even in the top 10 anymore, it opened big cause everyone wanted to see Alliyah (sp?) in her last movie, but then they were like, ok that sucked, and stopped going. If your gonna name some movies that made a ton of money, you shoulda went with movies like We Were Soldiers and 40 days and 40 nights.

LOL, Colin, thanks for sorting things out for me. Really apreciate it. I too am entertained by good acting and and a good story, but I am also entertained by movies that have a lot of action and movies that are set in the past, that's why I think Scorpion King looks entertaining. Doesn't look great by a long shot but it looks to have just enough action to keep me happy. And it stars The Rock! That man reaks of coolness, and him in the movie makes me wanna see it even more.
P.S. You made an excellant point with your "because good acting and good story entertain me" message. I guess I never stopped to think that not all people are entertained by the same stuff I am. Sorry, about that, I should thought about it before I wrote it.

i may be also excited by the scorpian king BUT that doesnt contradicts with why it can be one of the worst upcoming movies of 2002 , and thats becoz we ve got movies like ( TTT , AOTC , spider-man,minortiy report, Insomnia)......
And for one thing , i said before Insomnia is one of the worst upcoming movies BUT after i saw the trailer again , i liked it and i think i will be a good thriller movie.
Is insomnia a novel made by Stephen king ???
