Arrow...after reading your comments in the Mangler 2 topic, I thought of something: are there ANY movies you wouldn't review if your life depended on it? Any movies that you refuse to watch at all?

I know you're relucant to suffer through Howling II again...any others?

The Arrow

Not really...I tried Howling 2 recently though and I couldn't sit through it. That flick is just too awful and its fucking booooring. Life's too short. Troma flicks are also not my bag and I try to avoid them but I'll give Tromeo and Juliette a chance very soon. Other than that I'm pretty much all good.

Well I bet it takes you a full decade to get through the entire Howling series!

I loved he first one too and actually thought the 6th one was aight but Part 2...oh god...probably one of the worst horror sequels ever created along with Exorcist 2. Check it out and see if you can sit through the whole thing.

What are your star ratings for each film in the series?

Zing!

Hey Arrow - when, if ever, are you going to get around to reviewing some of the really old classics in the genre? I would love to know your take on the Univeral Monster movies, for example. There are so many great flicks from the 30's & 40's, like: Universal's "Dracula," "Frankenstein," "Bride of Frankenstein," "Son of Frankenstein," "The WolfMan," "The Mummy," "The Creature From The Black Lagoon," "House of Frankenstein," "Frankenstein Meets The WolfMan," "House of Dracula," "Ghost of Frankenstein," and the list could go on and on...

I know you're one busy dude, but I really think these classics deserve to be put in the spotlight. Any chance? http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

To answer both queries:

I can't give you a proper rating on the Howling sequels, I haven't seen them in a while and it wouldn't be fair. I can firmly say that Part 2 gets half a star and Part 6 gets a 2 or 2 1/2...other than that I'd have to see them again.

As for me touching the classics. I always meant too get to them but when it's gonna happen...I really don't know. It's pretty crazy these days. All in due time buddy, that's all I can promise.

Arrow,
"Tromeo & Juliet" has some hot lesbo stuff - other than that, it sucks.

I'm expecting it to suck since Im not a big Troma fan to begin with but then again steamy lesbo action can go a long way...to be continued...

I thought "Tromeo & Juliet" was quiet good, compared to the other 2 Troma movies I've seen ( MOTHER'S DAY and THE TOXIC AVENGER). And Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead stars as the Narrator, which is good. And I laughed hard at one guy trying to seduce his own sister with stuff like "incest is best!". The rest is well..."tromatesque" but I thought it was bearable this time ( that I watched Mother's Day for all of it's running time still gives me a guilty conciousness, after 6 years.)

And Arrow: Thou shalt not bitch about HOWLING III - otherwise I'll send my army of kangoroo-werwolves, dressed up as nuns! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

~Arrow~ How come you don't give out "zero stars" reviews?

Because no matter how bad a film is, I always find one positive thing to say.

Example: Mangler 2-Daniella's bouncing breasts (awesome by the way)

Howling 2- some nice tits and lesbian stuff

Toxic Avenger: again nice tit shots (I see a pattern do you?)

When I find a movie that doesn't have one good thing in it, it will get zero stars. Viva tit shots! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

hey Arrow I just thought of something:
You MUST seek-out the movie "Street Trash". I think some of the Troma gang were involved, but it wasn`t released by Troma.
It has some totally off-the-wall gore, plus it`s friggin` hilarious and I guarentee you`ve never seen a movie like it!

What about BLOODY MURDER?

About the reviewing the classic horror movies, its not so easy because he'd have to rewatch them to review them, which means he would have to get them. He would have to get them because they cannot really be found in video stores for rent, so he would have to buy them on VHS/DVD.

Reviewing the Howling series...is Arrow up to the challenge? I'd also be curious to see if he could sit through all these damn Children of the Corn movies.

I won't try to convince you of the greatnest of Troma production, but if you wanna see one hell of a great no-budget horror movie with over-the-top gore (as he said). Watch Street Trash. Oh yeah!!!

I gave it half a star, my rendition of NO STARS! Half a star is my lowest rating.

NOTE: I will not be touching the Children of the Corn or Howling series anytime soon. This job doesn't pay enough for me to submit myself to that kind of torture.

NOTE 2: I've always wanted to see Street Thrash but in my parts there's only the R version and I want to see it uncut.

He did say that Bloody Murder had a good shot of Trevor Moorhouse's reflection in a pool of blood.

Oh yea, forgot about that one. BTW, is that even possible to have a reflection in a pool of blood?

At least no one's requsting that you review the entire Witchcraft series. Maybe it was a mistake to review part 11. People might start expecting you to catch up with the rest of the series.

For your consideration: http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif

Witchcraft (1988)
Witchcraft II: The Temptress (1990)
Witchcraft III: The Kiss of Death (1991)
Witchcraft IV: Virgin Heart (1992)
Witchcraft V: Dance With the Devil (1993)
Witchcraft VI (1994)
Witchcraft 7: Judgment Hour (1995)
Witchcraft 8: Salem's Ghost (1995)
Witchcraft IX: Bitter Flesh (1996)
Witchcraft X: Mistress of the Craft (1998)
Witchcraft XI: Sisters in Blood (2000)

Why are there so many Witchcraft sequels? Does anyone watch those flicks? Are they any good?

I'll stick to porn, better acting and better sex...man does the Witchcraft series blow and not in the way I'd want it to.

I reviewed Bitchcraft 11 cause the director, Ron Ford is a friend of mine. He asked if I would review it and I did.

TO JIM THE MONSTER: Valentine 2 doesn't exist. Valentine 2 isn't in any stage of production. Don't believe everything people tell ya bub!

Im closing this thread cause its starting to aimlessly float around in all directions.

Peace out!
