SORORITY BOYS hasn't even been released yet and a sequel is already in the works.

Read this:

The Walt Disney Co. has bought a sequel pitch to its upcoming comedy "Sorority Boys" from the film's writers, Joe Jarvis and Greg Coolidge. The pair -- who also have the comedy "First, Last and Security" in development at Disney -- will get mid-six figures to write the sequel to "Sorority."

Well, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love sequels, and SORORITY BOYS looks hilarious, so I'm cool with a sequel. I know I'll want one if the movies as great as I think it will be. I think a sequel will probably happen since the first one should do pretty decent at the Box Office.

Thoughts?

Why doesn't Hollywood just remove their heads from their collective asses and focus on making NECESSARY sequals to films people actually care about.

I naturally haven't seen Sorority Boys, but it seems extremely stupid and unfunny. I didn't laugh once during the trailer. Nothing new in this one, I think. But they've made sequels to worse films, so the only thing stopping them would be that this film bombs. And I really hope it will, but it doesn't seem likely to happen, since the american audiences seem to see these same lame jokes over and over again, it's just such an easy one. Then again, I might like it when I see it, but I have my doubts, since the trailer really does suck.

Don't throw things at me but I saw it and really liked it! There are a lot of humorous parts to it, some so raunchy that I couldn't believe that I was actually seeing what I was seeing. If you are in the mood for a good laugh, I would recommend it.

I'm not surprised. Even if Sorority Boys doesn't turn out to be the shitty movie that it looks like, it's obviously a film that should not have a sequel. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/frown.gif

I guess the sequel is out of the question now. It took in a measly $1.42 million on Friday. Snuck in to see an hour of it. Trust me, it sucked big time.

I thought SORORITY BOYS was hilarious and I wouldn't mind a sequel. Although I have no idea what it would be about. But I'm game for a sequel.

Mike and Idealdiscountdude - Are you guys on crack? The movie was awful. Even the easy-to-please Joblo http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif gave it 3/10.

It was idiotic and stupid, yeah, but definitely not fun. The funny clips in the trailer were not just funny when viewed with the rest of the scenes. Poor timing and bad editing, I guess. You need a good setup for a punchline to work.

I found this movie incredibly funny and entertaining. Stupid? Yes! I like stupid humor as long as it can make some sense.

If a second one were made, it would probably be similar to "Sister Act 2" in the sense that the other girls know they're not girls, but are trying to keep them safe from something. I think the Seventh Heaven guy and his shower girlfried should break up before the start of te second film. You know, like he was to set on his goals of school and career, or something. Then of course they can be rekindled, but not w/o their stupid fun humor.

It doesn't seem like they will make a sequel anymore, unless it's a STV one but even that don't seem likely. Sorority Boys didn't do very well at the Box Office but I think it should do pretty good on video and surpass its total B.O. gross, movies like this usually do good on video. For one, since it was Rated R a lot of teens that wanted to see it couldn't get into it at theaters but should have no trouble seeing it on video. Unless it does extremely HUGE business on video, which I don't see happening, I don't see a sequel getting made. Plus with Barry Watson's illness I don't know if he'd be able to take part.
