***SPOILERS*** for the Prom Night movies
I recently watched all of the Prom Night Movies, and I realized that it's actually kind of strange for a franchise of four movies to have three different villains. Anyway, I just thought I'd ask, if there was another Prom Night movie, who should be the killer? Should it be Mary Lou again, should it be that demented priest, or should they find a way to bring back Alex Hammond? Or should there be a new killer altogether? I personally think that the series has run out of steam, but it would be interesting to see another film, nonetheless. Anyway, what do you think?

I doubt it if Jamie Lee Curtis (Kim) or Leslie Nielsen (Principal Hammond) would ever reprise their roles from the first PROM NIGHT film, but I for one would love to know what happened to the survivors of this great slasher film (the afore-mentioned characters of Kim and Mr. Hammond, as well as Mrs. Hammond, Nick, Lt. McBride, Vicki, Drew and Mr. Sykes).
It should be the bin laden.
"We have no prom in afghanistan so i kill you all for the fun i could never have!"
Then Jamie Lee strangles him with the sweat soaked towel he usually wears on his head but covers his face with to do the killings.

thats a cool suggestion Dusk STRANGLE BIN LADEN hee hee since the final prom night movie was released way back in 1992 it seems unlikely that they would make another one but if they did i say they should have jason be the killer and duke it out with that reject priest and the spirit of mary lou maloney Of course he would kick everyones ass Yeah that would be cool. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I take what I said back. The best way to go for a Prom Night sequel would be to go the route of Part 2. Have Mary Lou back but keep the vibe of the second one. It could be one of the better direct to video releases. I thought Part 1 was slow boring and overrated (but its been a while since I have seen it) but on the other hand I loved Parts 2 and 3 so I think this would be the best direction. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

i have never seen part 2 in its entirety, but remember it having a more comedic approach, same with 3,which i own,and hated.Part 4 is my favorite of the series, but if there was ever a sequel or such,i would go with mary lou maloney returning, but not being comedic like she was in parts 2 and 3.i would like a more serious, dark approach.

It should be a dog. With shifty eyes. You know he's evil because of the Shifty eyes.

I would not entirely discount the possibility of a fifth Prom Night. They made a sequel to The Mangler. Not to mention Bloody Murder. And how to account for all these Amityville Horror sequels? (I lost count here, but even at this point some investor is still thinking about continuing the series.)
Who owns the sequel rights? Artisan isn't it? I can't imagine who'd think the series is still bankable.

Its true that its not entirely impossible for a fifth Prom Night (I am all for it) but there hasn't been a sequel to the series in eleven years. Thats quite a long time to wait. And its not like there is any rumor stating that a fifth one is being talked about. Prom Night may very well be dead for good. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I love Prom Night and i like part 2 too, but ive heard the other ones suck. Plus they are so different to the original. I want Alex Hammond back for revenge if is not late!

I say just start fresh. Continuing any of the past storylines would be too confusing for moviegoers to follow. I think we should have a new group of seniors being stalked by a new killer (that could maybe don the same garb as the original killer). If any story was to be continued, follow the priest story--it makes the most sense for a new installment.

following the first ones storyline may be a bit too cliche for modern day,and if it was successful may don many ripoff scream slashers again,i dont want that era again.
the series still may be bankable and years apart dont truly matter,i mean, look at pumpkinhead and pumpkinhead 2,about a 7 year hiatus there.Or the mangler sequel as someone noted...a nice 7 year hiatus as well.
