Firestarter Rekindled

I came home last nite to see the late encore of Firestarter Rekindled (Pt 1). It's been a while since I saw the original Firestarter with Drew Barrymore. Not a bad flick. Anyway, the sequel seems to be pretty honest to the original. It kinda takes off from where the original stopped (well, granted Drew's character is an adult now). In the sequel, the company is still using drugs on kids. So, there's like a mini army of superkids: one has the power of suggestion, one does one of those screams like Banshee from X-Men, one is blind but can still "see" stuff, one is a surgeon whiz (?) and the last one is like an energy absorber.

I am watching Part 2 of the miniseries right now. Not a great flick whatsoever, but enjoyable nonetheless. Rather X-Men-ish though.
