MINOR SPOILERS
What were they thinking when they released this atrocity? Part 2 was bad but this? This isnt even a real movie. Norman Bates is on the phone with a therapist for the entire movie going through flashbacks of his childhood. I dont even recall him murdering anyone. Hitchcocks original may have been a classic but this movie is pointlessly cruel. They didnt even give it a video release let alone a theatrical release. This embarassment was made for cable but it shouldnt have been made at all. Is there anyone who enjoyed this film? Thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I've seen it. Henry Thomas does a great job as the young Norman. He's a great actor. Other than that, it didn't really delve into anything that we didn't know about Norman already. The film itself is so-so.

I loved Part 2, though!

I kinda liked it. As far as I'm concerned, the franchise was trashed as soon as they decided to make a sequal to Hitchcock's classic. So I had zero expectations for this film. Nowhere to go but up.

But I liked the added perspective of the Bates family history. It helps to flesh out the first movie a bit.
