Arrow,

Glad to see you enjoyed this classic movie. I do have one question, though...which undead guy on the boat were you talking about when you were talking about head shots? The one in the beginning only got shot in the chest. The cop which later became a zombie is the one that started the zombie infestation of NYC.

I double checked the film and you guys are right. I was sure the bastard got it in the head! I'll correct my review. Now I got to hunt down Gates From Hell and The Beyond...VIVA FULCI!

Dude!!! And you have to get "The House By The Cemetary"! It`s like his best movie! I think it was just re-released on DVD!

I only two films from Fulci :
The House By The Cementary and The Beyond.
These two films are really great and full of creepy atmosphere.
I like the scores and the photography ( the way the light is used ) and the gore.
Fulci is not as good as Argento, who's my favorite director however Fulci knows how to create some atmosphere.

I'm just tickled pink that Arrow's been on a zombie kick as of late (Resident Evil, Zombie, NOTLD90). If you enjoyed Zombie, you'll most definitely take a liking to The Gates of Hell. Its bleak mood is very effective and enhances the film's more grotesque moments. While you're delving into the undead, be sure not to pass up Dead Alive!
