This is my 100th post and id just like to take this time to thank all the moderators and schmoes that make this board an interesting place to visit. An extra special thanks goes out to Arrow, James Sully Sullivan, Skweemkween (you're right, a circus scenario can easily turn terrifying), Elgyn, and ihatedeadpeople (thanks for seeing the humor in my Jason X/Jesus post).
Everyone here is truly awesome and i love wasting time with you guys.
Now on another note I would like to ask you fellow schmoes about the horror genre. What are your thoughts on this? Things have been rather slow these past few years and it seems as though our beloved slasher genre could use a helping hand. How do you compare the horror genre of the 80's to the horror genre of the 90's. It seems as if its popularity has died down and has become somewhat of a joke to the mainstream public. And possibly more importantly in what direction do you see the genre going in the future? People I say that these recent hip and trendy teen slashers must be stopped and we need to bring back our horror heros of yesteryear. Hopefully with Freddy Jason and Michael making there return soon the horror genre can get out of this little slump its in. Please put your thoughts on this matter.
Well like I said I've had a great time with you guys and hope to engage in more discussions with each of you. I hope I've been able to supply people with some useful information over my past 99 posts. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Your welcome dude!! Man, this is like my 290th post, what the hell should I do to celebrate????

Question, do you really think the last few years have been lacking in the genre? You don't feel a small revolution building just waiting to bust the doors down on the genre?
I do, and I can't wait to see what's on the other side of that door.....

hehehehe...heheheh....

They have been stopped. The slasher subgenre is lying dormant at the moment. We probably won't see another lucrative resurgence of the "trendy" slasher for another 15 years or so. In my opinion, horror is in great shape. 2001 was a great year, and 2002 looks very promising.
