What Lies Beneath, Why is it Hated???

I saw What Lies Beneath last night for the first time. Id expexted it to be rubbish from the reviews and from what my friends said. I was very surprised i thought it had genuinly creepy momments and a few scares, why do so few people like this movie, your input is appreciated

i enjoyed the flick. i liked the more than obvious Hichcock vibe. I liked the story. I liked the acting. I esp liked the side story about the neighbors. I liked the end bathroom moment..real tention there. Overall it was good..my only problem, like any movie, is ive already seen it 10 times on HBO so im board of it. but i give it a thumbs up.
