Does any-body else remember seeing this show years ago. I remember that there were two of these specials made for T.V. and they were my first real introduction to the classics of modern horror. Does any-body else think it would be a good idea for a few more of these shows to be made again, seeing that the first one was shown about 10 years ago.
There was a show called Horror Hall of Fame III which aired in 1993(& was repeated that summer). It was a show hosted by Robert "Freddy Krueger" Englund.
It talked about classics like Alien, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Bride of Frankenstein, & Night of the Living Dead. It also had nice retrospectives on Forrest Ackerman & his Famous Monsters magazine, as well as those great horror comics(The Vault of Horror, The Haunt of Fear, & Tales From the Crypt) from the '50's.
It also gave its Best Horror Film of the year award to The Addams Family(I kid you not!), which was accepted by Carel Strukyen(sp?) who played Lurch in the film.
Overall, it was a nice special, & I'm surprised there haven't been any since.

Mr. DarkLight, you are correct. The first Horror Hall of Fame was October 1991. I remember that because my Halloween party was going on at the same time and we all watched it. This 1st installment was the best one, including all of the above mentioned segments robk cited.
Hall of Fame 2 was on in 92 and then a horrid version again in 93. By that time it had lost all it's flair was rather cheesy. They even repeated a couple segments featuring then married Steve Johnson & Linnea Quigley.
Sadly, that was the last of the Horror Hall of Fame and that's too bad 'cause it started out real classy & I was so excited to see an awards show devoted to what I am devoted to.
How 'bout it? Should there be an awards horror film awards show again?????

I remember seeing this too. It was totally awesome. Sadly theyve never done it again. I think they did this awards show for two years and they quit. But I must say they movies they gave awards to were a little odd. I remember they gave an award to Aracnophobia for Best horror film of the year http://www.joblo.com/ubb/eek.gif I mean it was good, but come on!
I also remember that they had the Gremlins from Gremlins II in the audience and that was a preatty cool gag. And they had Linea Quigley show some FX "secrets". All in all a preatty good idea they should seriously reconsider doing at least every halloween or something, that would rock..

Yeah I saw the Linnea One where she was being made up by her then husband Steve Johnson. I watched a few of them and I also watched something called Hollywood Heartstoppers and that was pretty cool. I wish we had shows like these instead of the crap we have out there now that I do not watch.

I was just wondering, but did'nt Frank Sinatra do a musical number on the one show, with some dancers/back-up singers dressed up as famous monsters. I thought that was pretty crazy, but also pretty cool.
