Oh, and one more thing, they are filming it as we speak or type or whatever, in England.

I can not wait for 11/15. The first movie was perfect. It had a lot of action. A lot of comedy. Great F/X. Great acting. The whole film was a magical treat. Plus I believe that the second novel is the best one in the whole Potter book series. For people who have read the book what scene do you most anticipate? I look forward to Aragog the acromantula. That scene was very creepy. Plus the Whomping Willow should be awesome. But I think the makers of this film could do wonders with set design and F/X in the scene where Prof. Lockhart decorates the dining hall with valentine flowers, hearts, etc. Some things I would do are have floating bubbly hearts that are red, purple, pink, etc. It is going to be awesome. I just hope they don't delete any of the cool scenes. I have heard a rumor that Sir Nicholas' Deathday party was deleted due to time constraints. But still HP2 should rock. And I hope JoBlo enjoys it more this time.

P.S. For some awesome photographs of Lockhart, Harry and Ron, the flying Ford Anglia, etc. head over to the wonderful fan site

Also don't you guys think a teaser should becoming soon. The first movies trailer premiered online for AOL users(which was about as unfair as A.I.'s box office gross) on March 1st, 2001 and two days later attached to all prints of SEE SPOT RUN. I remember how excited I was(I musy have to go see SPOT). So I wish Warner Bros. would wake up already and release a damn teaser trailer. My fear is that they are going to do something dumb like say "the first trailer for the second Potter film will debut on the HP DVD". But I would not put that beyond them.

P.S. If they do decide to go down that awful DVD/teaser road. I'll write them and say "if you are going to make us wait for the DVD to get the teaser. That teaser better not be in a snap case".

Here's the latest from upcomingmovies.com

(8/16/01) Warner Bros. is not taking any chances. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Steven Kloves is already working on the screenplay for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

(8/22/01) Entertainment Weekly confirms the filming start date as November 18th, 2001, just two days after the release of the first film.

(9/24/01) The production is now building the "Burrow", a 60-foot structure in a field near Watford, England, which will be home to the magical family, the Weasleys. There's no word yet about whether the building will be kept up, in case it's needed in future films.

(10/1/01) Hugh Grant was reportedly cast as Professor Gilderoy Lockhart. Empire reports that Grant is out due to scheduling conflicts with his Sandra Bullock project and It Started with Eve.

(10/25/01) Variety reports that Kenneth Branagh has signed on to play "Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts" Gilderoy Lockhart.
(11/10/01) It's not much of a surprise, but WB is aiming for basically the same date in 2002 as they have in 2001, with November 15th, 2002.

(11/21/01) Last week, Zoe Wanamaker (Madame Hooch) was quoted by London's Sunday Times as saying she won't be returning for any of the sequels unless WB increases the salary of all the actors, because of her dissatifaction with the salaries they received for the first film. Please note that she could certainly return, according to that statement, if WB does indeed increase the salaries. Or maybe they'll just cast another actress.

(12/27/01) BBC reports that three more roles have been filled (Moaning Myrtle, Armando Dippet, and the voice of Aragog the spider).

(1/27/02) From Michael Fleming of Variety comes the news that Jason Isaacs (best known currently for playing the villain in The Patriot) has signed on to play Lucius Malfoy in this film.

(3/4/02) The Hollywood trades report that a few more characters (Madams Pomfrey and Pince, and Mr. Weasley) have been cast as well.

I can't wait to see the teaser for HP 2...it is going to be great to see how they cast all of the new characters especially after they did such a good job with the first film!
