What do think about this german slasher starring Franka " Lola " Potente ?
I thought it was really good and I appreciate the fact that it is really a german film not americanized ( despite the american producers ... )
I don't like when the europeans films have the " Scream " look.
It is cruel and sadistic ( the victims are operated alive and than killed )

I rented this flick a couple of months ago and was HIGHLY disappointed. The premise was a little weak, but still interesting yet the only thing really watchable was the surgery's that took place few and far between. (I wanted so badly to see Lola's roomate nude but the tease only stripped down to her undergarments.)

I thought this was a great slasher flick. The nudity department was non-existent but the gore level was high. It's a fun flick.

This film had such potential.I do like the way this film looks(especially the school.)
After reading the brief synopsis on the back of the movie I decided to rent it..thinking it was going to be more disturbing.It didn't deliver(in my opinion.)
The (hand and arm dissection was well done)
but what about the suffering?Yes it would be horrifying to see yourself being dissected but the victims seem to feel no pain.What a drag.My suggestion is to pick this up as one of your free rentals.Don't waste your money.This movie is very light on gore and T&A despite having a very delicious looking blond as a main character.
And it is German so you will be reading English subtitles.

I thought I was the only one who saw this!!
I actually liked it. You don't see a lot of this kind of gore stuff from the Germans lately!

Did you rent the DVD?? It has a cool music video by this German chick, her song is featured in the movie, when the blond babe student does the strip tease in the operating room.
It's pretty cool .

I thought it wasn't bad, it was like The Skulls, but much better. It's not very scary or violent.

Oh, and skweemkween, the song that is playing when the blonde girl dances on the operating table is auctually sung by the blonde girl herself.

While it was low in the hot blond chick nudity department, it was high in the naked man ass department. If you like naked man ass. I'm personally not a big fan, but can tolerate it if the staple hot slutty girl is naked. But no such luck here.
Either way I liked the movie for the most part. The corpse statue things were bad ass, and the surgery scenes were rather gruesomes. But the movie did have a few things that bugged the hell out of me. The murderer running through a wide open place screaming out things to people he was chasing, and a couple "he couldn't have possible finished what he was doing and hid before the people got the door open" scenes, but overall I'd say it's a pretty good movie.

Pesky Socks: Christ, why didn't I make that fking connection!! It IS the same girl. So she must be a big superstar German Madonna or something right? I really liked the song.

Ifyou guys hated the dubbing, you need to rent the dvd where there is subtitles, it makes it so much more bearable!!!

Wow, I wouldnt dream of watching a foreign film dubbed. (It makes everything comedic)

On the topic of "ANATOMIE",(8/10) I dug it. The suspense worked and the black humour was hilarious. The whole thing was a fun ride. Cinematography and Set design were superb and the cast all carried themselves well. (The surgically precise gore was also cool)

Sure it had its faults but overall I found it superior to most of its American Counterparts and to be held alongside CRIMSON RIVERS as a worthy contribution to the genre from Europe.

A sequel to Anatomy is being made in Germany, it stars different characters in the same situation as the original.

I rented it last night, and it pretty much looks and feels like any other American "teen horror" flick. It's reasonably entertaining, but I was hoping for something a bit "edgier."
