What a kick - ass movie !!! Wohoooooohooooo!!!!
It is not really a horror film but it is very violent and gory.
It stars Denis Richards ( yessssss !!! ) Michael Ironside and Casper Van Dien.
Great film, one of my favorite film whatever the periods.
Too sad that the reviewers think that this is a fascist movie, they were wrong.
They are not really open - minded.
I own the DVD and I have the Verhoeven's commentary while watching the movie, full of explanations, very informative and technical.

The fascist under-tones in the movie are meant to be there, unfortuntly the critics did'tn read it the way they were suppost to.

A great movie!. Too bad the acting was terrible. Some of the dialogue delivered it just hysterical <and they weren't meant to be>. Eg. "Rico you know what to do!" Wow what a horrible line!. Overall though it's a great movie.

yeah the dialogue is bad and kinda cheesy but i think that is what makes this movie pretty good though.

Yes It does have a cheesy charm to it, The action and gore really make this one for me as it is both good and prevalent.

I thought this movie sucked. The only good scenes were the bug fighting scenes and they were few and far between. I honestly can't see why people liked this movie. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

This movie kicked mega ass! It was extremely violent and a stabbing political satire (which I don't think the cast understood at all) One of my favourite films of the 90's(to bad Casper Van Dien can't act)

I liked it a lot. Loved the "Brain-bug" and the gore. Denise had a great body as does the redhead in the flick. Casper Van Dien is one of the worst actors ever though.

Besides some nice gory tidbits, this movie was bad in my opinion!

Finally I find somebody who agrees Casper Van Diem is one of the worst actors ever...Python....Tarzan.....the list of Casper crap gpes on and on and on

Starship Troopers was a fun ride. A little CGI-reliant, but fun nonetheless.

I loved this movie, mainly because of the gore and violence. I've got a copy of it on VHS about 50cms away from where I'm sitting right now, I might watch it later. Oh yeah, the BrainBug kicked serious ass!

Casper Van Dien is a terrible actor and i loved the scene in Sleepy Hollow where he gets cut to sheds.

How can you hate a movie like this. It has action, nudity and humor? Who can forget the immortal line: "We're going back to P."
