As topic states. I'm surprised you haven't yet. Great movies. Really morbid and funny.

But......They're not horror movies...

JayWolf

Well, neither is ELVIRA or SCARY MOVIE. Besides, it has morbid/horror undertones. Oh yeah! One for me!

Scary Movie parodies, scary movies. Why wouldn't The Arrow see it? Elvira is sorta like that too... The Adam's Family is not supposed to be scary but funny, and it's not spoofing any particular horror movie. Oh yeah! One for me!

Yes, but it has the morbid and dark comedy undertones. Plus, Elvira doesn't spoof too much in particular either. Also, if you pay close enough attention, they're nice lil' spoofs of certain horror movies in The Addams Family movies. Yeah, two for me.

But SCARY MOVIE's whole purpose was to spoof movies, The Adam's Family wasn't. Plus, I own both the AF movies and have never noticed any spoofs, please explain. (BTW, two for me!)

Okay, the movies Arrow reviews aren't always horror, how about Memento? Great movie but not horror. Just wanted to mention that, continue debating.

eh addams family in horror?dont think so...

When you think about it, The Panic Room isn't even a horror movie, but the elements are present. The same applies to The Addams Family films. I mean, when siblings constantly try to murder one another, it has horror elements! To keep with the theme of this thread, one for me!

Why, thank you Countchocula. Also, as for movie spoofs, the ones I can point out for right now are in ADDAMS FAMILY VALUES:

Baby Pubert wearing a mask over his mouth similar to the one Hannibal Lecter wore
(Silence of the Lambs)

Baby Purbert turning into a cute golen curled, rosy cheeks baby whos constantly happy and they find out he's possessed.
(The Exorcist)

Debby constantly seducing Fester and trying to kill him
(hints to erotic thrillers)

There you go.

the count has a point - "Panic Room" sure as hell ain`t horror either.
I really like both "Addams Family" movies. Though I think Christina Ricci totally stole both movies from everyone else!

Addams family is not horor and those movies are kinda lame

JayWolf

Well, quite a few of the movies that Arrow reviews aren't really horror but have the elements of it in it which the Addams Family movies did. Also, freddy666, I'll respect your opinion but don't say it as I'm right, your wrong sort of deal. It will save you trouble from people who think your just trying to make an ass of yourself.

Also, TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE isn't horror now is it? But Arrow reviewed it.

Lets just say that horror reviews are Arrows specialty but that every now and then he'll take some time out to review a non-horror movie as well. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

JayWolf

Well, he should do that for THE ADDAMS FAMILY and ADDAMS FAMILY VALUES since they do have many undetones of dark/morbid comedy and horror. Weak argument, teenkiller. Especially since you said Arrow shouldn't do them since they're not horror but yet you go around and say that once in a while (I would say more then often) he reviews something that isn't really horror or just isn't horror, backing up the fact I pointed out that TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE isn't horror. You contradicted yourself, buddy.

teenkiller

Actually Jaywolf I never said that Arrow shouldn't do them. All I said was that I was sure that they were comedies. I never contradicted myself. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

JayWolf

Sorry about that assumption, but that's sure how it sounded. But anyway, do you think they should be reviewed?

teenkiller

Well I actually love the Addams Family movies (especially the sequel) and I wouldn't mind seeing Arrows reviews on the movies. Apology accepted by the way. No big deal. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Let me put this out there: most films that I haven't reviewed yet...I have seen. I make it a rule to watch a movie again before reviewing it.

I will one day review both Adam Family movies. But like I ALWAYS say: so many movies, so little time.
Just check the "review suggestion" thread to get an idea of the suff I have to cover.

I'll get to them when I get to them, but I have way more important movies to cover before I hit the kooky family.

NOTE: I have seen them both and dug the first one better.

Topic closed.
