Guys, this is not good news...

Yep, that's unfortunately the case. In a memo obtained by "Cinema Confidential" circulated at 20th Century Fox on Sunday, the studio informed its employees that an announcement regarding the release date shift of "Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones," which will have the much anticipated prequel debuting on December 20, 2002 instead of next May.
No reason for the release shift was given in the memo; however, the studio prints that a press conference will be held on Wednesday to address the release shift. The official announcement is set to debut sometime tomorrow.
