What I mean as, for a plot and a monster is such as...
Lochness Monster
The Jersey Devil
The Goat Man
Big Foot

What else?
I think the Jersey Devil would be an excellent flic, it would be like a terrordactle looking thing and so forth. I thought of a plot and stuff for it along time ago I just never got to writtening it.

Jerz Devil would be good....
Spring Heeled Jack has potential...
The monster ghost thing on Creech Hill...
The Goat Man of course (stories used to spook me as a kid)
not a monster, but I want to see something good on Bloody Mary...
and I read a while back about some sort of asian demon thing that screams loud from far away, but as it comes closer for the kill the scream fades out, like an opposite effect of sound. That'd be a pretty ill concept for a film...

I'd love to see a movie version of "The Jersey Devil", a subject that both "The X Files" and Fox Family's "Scariest Places On Earth" have tackled.

The Goat man scared me alittle when I watched a thing about mythological creatures. I never heard of the Spring Heeled Jack before.
Have you ever read the bock, The Loch?
It's a cool Lochness Monster book, I think the movie should be based on that but more graphic, bloody, and more of a plot.

There has already been a film made about the hunt for the Jersey Devil, called The Last Broadcast that came out a few years ago. And I can't remember which Stephen King short story collection it was in, but there is one about Spring Heeled Jack that could serve as a good basis for a movie adaptation.

As AlienClown said theres a movie called The Last Broadcast, wich is suppose to be the original Blair Witch type movie, A public access crew goes out live to find the jersey devil and are murdered, I bought this movie and it BLOWSSSSSS big time.
What the hell is that screaming thibbg Seph it sounds freaky as hell?
I think the true story of the minotar would be scary, being trapped in his maze.
Is there a site wiht all these weird creatures like the goatman, never heard of him?

Goat Man rules. But I'd like to see a movie based off of the New Delhi Monkey Man. It wouldn't be scary, but I'd laugh a lot.

I think its high time that a movie be made from legend of the Chupacabra.I heard on ART BELL(creepy night radio program) that in a Central American Country a research program was going on with genetics and the Chupacabra escaped from a holding area at the research facility during a Hurricane. It has terrorized the country-side since that time. There are a few versions of its origin though.

CircleOfElders,
there was a direct to video movie that came out in 2000 called Legend of the Chupacabra, and they did it BWP/documentary style. I've seen it around but never got and watched it.

I think a movie about a legendary South African creature called a Tochallosh (not to sure if that is the correct spelling) would be a good idea. The legend goes that they are small troll like creature's (about half a foot fall) that are invisable, that come in to your house at night and carry you away to their underground kingdom. The only way to ensure your safty is to place brick under your bed, so as to make it to tall to clime up to.

i actually dug the Last Broadcast. It was freaky. A new Jersey Devil movie would be great! Anyone have any ideas of how it would work? I've thought about a script, but can't think of how the whole think would play out.

Actually "Strawberry Spring" is being made into a movie, look it up on Imdb, I personally think it would suck though.

Also the goatman is awsome, I made up a story about it for a bunch of little kids at a camp when I was a camp counseler, and they were all so frickin'scared, it was awesome.

I was gonna start a Jersey Devil screenplay, but thought it would be too hard(I might accidently screw up the legend or something.)

I'd like to see a decent, big budget chupacabra picture, instead of a STV one.

Doing a lot of research on The Spring Heeled Jack for a couple of years I decided to write a novel about it.
The legend originates from where I live in Lodon and was a real terror at the time I don't know if anyone here remembers but the avatar I had before my current one was a picture of The Spring Heeled Jack.
I aim to make something of this legend as it terrorised the very streets I live in .

The screaming demon-thing some were talking about was probably a banshee. They're the "screamers". I think a banshee movie would be da bomb! The thing about the screaming sound getting fainter as it nears you is SCARY! Sadly, a banshee movie would probably be something close to DARKNESS FALLS...:(

Oh thanks Jewbo nice to see you reamber :) to be fair I have left the project alone for a little while as with a lot of writing projects you wish to get right it's easy to become frustrated with what you write.
Hell Phantom maybe we could write something togther on this project ( SPRING HEELED JACK) I have a lot of information on him from the U.K.
I also beleieve the legend spread to New England so you may wish to find a little more about him and his exploits in the U.S.

He is an extremly horrific figure when you read up on him so Hell Phantom if you wish maybe we could do some joint project on this.
P.M me if intrested or want any info about myths and legends ;)

I have to go w/ a couple American Indian monsters. Honka and Stegini. Or the Water Witch. Many Indian's in this area believe strongly in these legends. I for one do as well considering I've actually seen a Stegini. Stayed as far away as possible.

horror_freak21@hotmail.com

but It would be a while to we could get something wrote. I'm pretty busy with Creative Writign assignments, editing my script CHILDHOOD FEARS, writing CHILDHOOD FEARS 2, and Im going to be working on a short script I plan on filming as well as anoth script about Undertakers...kind of like 6 FEET UNDER. That last one might not happen for a while but hell! If this Jack guy provokes my imagination I might just decided to help!

Alright, a Cryptozoology thread! There are so many anomolies out there that I'd like to see get movies of. The Beast of Gevaudan was featured in the wonderful Brotherhood of the Wolf even though it wasn't the creature according to the legend.

I think a movie of an aerial cryptid would rock. Something like the Thunderbird or some other creature thought to be extinct.

Native American legends feature some cool demonic creatures. I remember my mom telling me about this being known as "Tsi Sgili" known by Cherokee tribes of Oklahoma. This thing is associated with shape-shifting creatures like werewolves, and it's known for eating people.

A good lochness movie would be sweet(This is my fav. Scottish legend!), and if one is made, I hope it's given a fairly big budget with good actors.

Also, an Ogopogo movie was never made, it's a famous Canadian sea monster(I live about 5 hours away from it's home in the Okanagan.)

Here are a few that I would like to see done up

Bigfoot: There is a story about a creature called the Honey Island Swamp Monster, which is basically a bigfoot which lives in a virtually inaccessible swamp. Supossedly many folks wandered into the swamp, never to be heard from again

Thunderbird would be cool, as long as it had a good story. If anyone has ever seen Q:The Winged Serpent, that was about as close to Thunderbird as you are likely to get

Jersey Devil has alot of potential for a good movie. I dont think that the Last Broadcast or that X-Files episode really did the legend justice. If they were to get back to the origin of the legend, it would rock. Basically, a woman named Mrs. Leeds had 12 children. When she found out that she was pregnant with her 13th child, she cursed the child. When it was born, it came out with leahtery bat wings, a horse head and cloven feet. I think that would translate well into film, kind of following up the legend in modern times

There are so many more that woudl work, but I cant think of any more right now

All right, I gotta ask, what is the story behind this "Goat Boy" legend? Surprisingly I've never heard of this. I'm intrigued, if someone could post a link to some info or pm that would be cool, I gottsa know.:) He sounds like a baaaaaad, creature.
