I bought Dead Alive today, because I cant seem to find it for rent ANYWHERE!!
.....I have never seen the R Rated version until today....and Schmoes.....it's a waste.........ALL of the cool scenes are chopped out, and it makes the ending crap...
Have any of you bought a butchered version of your favorite movie, and felt like it was a TOTAL waste of money???

No, I can't say I have bought a chopped up version of a movie I like because I take care with stuff like that before I buy. I check the ratings on the back of the box as well and runtimes. But I do feel pity for you R&J, because my friend and I had seen the R rated version of DEAD-ALIVE and almost wanted to puke because it was a big disgrace to the real movie.

Well I did buy the butchered version of Friday the 13th Part 7: The New Blood. But then again what were the odds of me finding the uncut version? I didn't have much of a choice (DAMN PARAMOUNT!!). Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I almost bought Lord of Illusions today for $4.99, but it was the R-rated version, so I went with the unrated version of Hellbound: Hellraiser II instead. I was fearful that all of the goodies would be absent.

Blockbuster here has the unrated version. So does Hastings.

Ugh, that's the version that I bought! I was so disgusted I wanted to break the damn tape. I can't find the unrated version anywhere.

I bought the UK DVD of I Spit On Your Grave, looking forward to seeing this controversial film to see just how fucked up people can be.

It was cut to bits.

I actually bought this copy at Blockbuster......If that was for me....
They're selling all of their horror VHS off, so I'm getting some pretty sweet deals on some good horror movies!

yeah I saw this and boy does it blow...the movie just doesnt make any sense with all the editing that was going on. I strongly advise any schmoe outthere NOT to buy the R rated version it totally takes you out of the movie. Half the time you wont even understand what the hell is going on. But thank god the unrated version is outthere for a preatty good price. Of course its got no extras but what the hell this movie kicks so much ass, that its worth every single dollar your gonna pay for it!

I saw Robocop on t.v.Man! When they put it on t.v. they get rid of all the cuss words. This one guy says"Baloney" NO ONE SAYS THAT!!!!
Also the scene where Murphy is murdered is so edited you can't really hate the bad guys or pity murphy much.
