DAWN and DAY OF THE DEAD DVDs Update

An update on the Dawn of the Dead SE DVD from Anchor Bay Entertainment, straight from the horse's mouth (via email):

We will be releasing DAWN OF THE DEAD in late April of next year with
DAY to follow sometime in the summer.

Damn, another year before this classic comes to DVD as a special edition! Oh well, DAY is also gonna get the SE treatment as well, so I guess it's worth it!!!

BUT A WHOLE YEAR! (and then some with Day)... Oh well, its worth the wait.

Figures... Took me nearly six months to find a local copy of Day and now it looks like I'll have to upgrade again.

Im really really looking foward to that release date. It can't come soon enough for me. I keep seeing used vhs copies of dawn and I feel my hand reaching back to my wallet. Will power is such a bitch sometimes.

Gotta say this isn't really good news. I knew they were coming, and knew it wouldn't be THAT soon, but a whole 'nother year! Damn, I was thinking like, the latest would be December of this year or very early next year. And bowieee, have you never seen Dawn or do you not own a copy of the movie in any form? I'd say to go and get that VHS copy, its probably pretty cheap, and then you'll have that in the interim. It will only satiate your desires, end your inner conflicts about the ordeal, and make your first and all subsequent viewings of the DVD THAT much better.
