The film is going to be released sometime in April (or May), but it will released under a new title. The new title is.....ROAD KILL. Even thoe it sounds cool, but i'm a bit dissapointed that it won't be called JOY RIDE. But i'll get used to it.

What do you think of this title change?

I saw the new title on IMDb. Check it out if you don't believe me.

Go to www.imdb.com (http://www.imdb.com) and look under Joy Ride.

Yep, it was advertised as Joyride in the UK but is being released as Roadkill. Before you know it it will be like Lucio Fulcis Zombie with a different title in every country. Confusing. I liked the first title Squelch best

Yeah this is true. It was going to be originally released in Australia in January. Then it got pushed back to April, now it's gonna be in September under Road Kill. Let's just hope it doesn't get pushed back any further. I'm dying to see this movie, and i don't like Road Kill as much as Joy Ride.

Not wanting to scare any other Australian posters on this board, but I hired a DVD a while back that had a preview for Joy Ride, which said that it was (gasp!) coming soon to a video store near me! I doubt it's true (or wishing it's not true), because although the movie wasn't a hit, they've had movies that earnt much less money being released into cinemas. Then again, Wishmaster got a direct-to-video release here. Sometimes it really sucks being a horror fan in Australia.

Roadkill sounds like a cheap-o low budget direct-to-video shit fest. Joy Ride is a much better title.

Roadkill, Joy Ride, doesn't matter, the movie kicked ass (the best horror last year) and the title won't change that.

So did I. While I'm not clear on the definition of Squelch, it has a nice ring to it.

Squelch refers to the dial on old CB radio's that would clear the static on bad transmissions(used to have a CB in my mom's old Scout).
Personally, I like Joy Ride the best. That movie kicked ass.
