Clarice Starling

That it gets all the credit for starting the horror film genre. That it was the first movie to start all the cliches that went on over the years. That it was the first to start the killer POV, etc. I really like Halloween, but I really liked Black Christmas a lot more.
Sometimes I really feel sorry for Black Christmas, I know that every review or person who has seen it has liked it, you know I probably read about one or two bad reviews for it, but that is not enough. That movie started the POV.
And personally I really liked the characters in Black Christmas a lot better than Halloween. In Halloween the only characters I cared about were Laurie and Loomis. Everyone else I found extremeley annoying. I hated Lynda, the world needs less blonde headed bimbos if you ask me. Annie was wooden and cold to me, I really could have cared less if she lived or died. And plus they made fun of Laurie, I did not like that. Micahel was scary, but the sequals ruined that.
In Black Chrismtas I nearly cared for everyone. I cared for Jess, Phyl, Barb, Mrs. Mac, Mr. Harrison, Peter, Chris, Fuller, everyone. What I liked also is that some of the characters had more of a character to them than in Halloween. You felt bad for Barb because she was always blamed for everything, her mother ditched her for a guy. Jess was pregnat and was confused, Phyl was a sweetheart who was really nice to everyone, I loved her, Mrs. Mac was hilarious, Mr. Harrison seemed very upset and I felt really bad for him beacuase we all knew his daughter was dead. I loved every character very much.
SPOILERS:
When Barb died I was like "NOOOOOOOOO!". When Phyl died I was sad because she was so naieve. I was sad when almost everyone died. And plus Billy was scary as hell because he was so realistic, more realistic than Micahel which made him more scary.
And the end of both movies were freaky, but again Black Christmas's ending was really more freaky, the whole ending I did not breathe and I was totally in suspense. Halloween's ending was cool, but to me it was all to familiar. I know at the time it was not, but have you ever seen a ending like Black Chirstmas's?
Halloween looked more prefessional than Black Chirstmas, but again everything seemed more raw than Halloween.
I know it sounds like I hate Halloween, but I do not. I love it. I just hate it when it gets all the credit for starting it all. And Black Christmas is virtually unknown which upsets me very much it deserves more of a reputation. But again Halloween is very good, and if Black Chrismtas does not get the credit, than Halloween deserves to get it because those two movies were the best slashers of the 70's. If you have read all of this, well thanks for reading. Just remember I do not hate Halloween. I keep saying this over because I do not want to get crucified. So anywayz thank for reading.
Halloween: 8 out of 10
Black Christmas: 10 out of 10
