I've seen it only because I'm such a sad John Carpenter fanatic. I thought it was incredibly silly, but a fun film otherwise.

Good performance from Kurt Russell, I thought.

Yeah! I love this film! Cool atmosphere, cool story, nice fights (this was before cool fighting scenes bacame mandatory in any movie), and really good fx (for the time it was made anyways) and funny one liners up the gazoo. "as two I said I was coming" he he. GOt the dvd and it totally rocks! It has a few deleted scenes and an alternate ending thats decent. The audio commetary sucks though, carpenter and russel start babbling about totally irreverent shit, instead of talking about the making of the film. Still I never get tired of watching this baby and yes it defenetly needs a sequel, I bet it could even get made now that theres this rebirth of the martial arts flick. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Yes it was a good performance from ken russel which makes a change.
This time he wasn't escaping anywhere I would like to see him in the next big film he makes ESCAPE FROM ACTON (LOL).

I loved the part where Russell fires his gun in the air to get the bad guys attention, and the rock fall on his head and knock his out for the entire fight sequence. Funnyist part of the whole movie.
