It will undoubtedly be a hit financially, but quality-wise? As of now, I'd have to say "NO!" emphatically, and unlike Ep. 1, I will NOT go to see it in theaters, unless it's waaaaay at the end of its run or the buzz is exceptional.

IM a HUGE Star Wars fan, and I think this will be much better than Episode I. I've read all of the *SPOILERS that would come my way, and man! I think this will be the best Star Wars 'til Episode III! And Im very sure it will be an instant hit. Hopefully those fans who thought Episode I was horrible will appreciate this one more.

I'm there. I didn't hate Episode 1 as much as the rest, but still don't like it nonetheless. from what I've read, it looks to be pretty sweet

This movie is going to be great. I thought EPISODE 1 was an awesome summmer action film. I thought the latest trailer was great. It was very exciting. Hayden Christensen was great in LIFE AS A HOUSE. And early word is great on Ewan McGreggor. My only worry is that Jimmy Smits will ruin the scenes that he is in. Another thing that has got me jazzed is Harry Knowles' review over at http://www.aint-it-cool-news.com/. I think this movie is going to be one of the best adventure films off this year along with THE TWO TOWERS, SPIDER-MAN, and MEN IN BALCK II.
P.S. After reading over this I noticed I use the word "great" a lot! I have got to try and use a new word. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Whatever spark of creativity and passion for making cinematic magic that may have once resided in George Lucas's heart has died a slow horrible death. It started to slip away in Jedi with the overuse of ridiculous muppets and ewoks. It went into full cardiac arrest in TPM with the casting of the worst child actor I have ever seen: the addition of Jar Jar binks(quite possibly the most embarrassing film character in history) and a movie that was nothing more than a 2 hour toy and video game advertisement aimed at intellectually challeged 8 year old kids. But with just the advance trailers I have already seen of episode 2 AOTC, I can official annouce the complete death of George Lucas's artistic ability. I saw the trailor to this upcoming pile of dung at a screening of FOTR. It went over with the crowd like a bad beer fart in a crowded elevator. Some people even laughed out loud at it. My god it looked bad. They should call it EP2 Melrose Space or Attack of the 90210 clones. The acting was horrible. The guy cast as young Anakin Skywalker looked like a cry baby whining pansy ass member of some boy band. Which I guess is appropriate since Lucas was going to give n-sync a cameo appearance in this festering pile of shit. Its a shame too! Few people and few projects could get the sizable backing that Star Wars and Lucas can garner. Done right by someone who cared about a plot, good acting and fans over the age of six these films could be something special. Kids would go see these films even if they had more adult themes and darker tones but adults such as myself will not go see another childish load of crap like TPM. AOTC's will make money because of the Star Wars fan base and kids but it won't make money because it deserves it. Well I loved the First Star wars movie and ESB. Jedi was fair. I got fooled into seeing TPM but never again. I will not go see this crap. I will not rent it. I doubt I will even make an attempt to see it on cable. If you want to see Lucas making movies like he used to maybe you guys should boycott it as well. It just might send him a message.

If anyone is interested tomorrow on Access Hollywood they are going to do a small bit on AOTC mainly focusing on the wardrobe of Amidala.
And the garment that Lucas designed himself, of course that garment is a super tight leather corset! George I am starting to gain some of my old respect back for you my boy.
