Movies like this were only made in the golden ages when everyone loved what they did to make the whole damn project work. I'm just fucking sick and tired of people so called "pros" coming out with complet and utter shit. Or as Arrow sometimes calls them, "hip" horror movies.
Don't get me wrong, I loved some of them in the past. Scream 1 and Final Destination come to mind and I can't wait for Jason X just because we need those movies just as much.
But there isn't a excuse to make a shitty movie these days, how producers are so blind is beyond me.
If the script is lacking somewhere, work on it. If the directing is lacking, work on it. If the acting is sucking, work on. etc. etc.
Granted movies can't always have the best of everything but if big wigs stopped a moment to take a look, they might relise it's not that hard to pull off. With this movie and The Others, it comes to mind, we don't need a hip soundtrack, we don't need some cute(fag!) hero so the females will flock, we just don't need....because in the end all we need are the basics.
