back when i was a little kid (sometime around '84, i think) i was watching some show on tv where there was this guy who had some kind of magic potion, which he could pour on a woman's picture in a book or magazine and it would bring the woman to life and she would come right out of the page. but he kept screwing up. one time he poured too much and this big mean gigantic amazon woman came out of the book and started kicking his ass all over place. another time, he didn't pour enough and the woman was normal, except only the top half of her body came out. there's more, but that's all i can remember. i remember that i was a watched "tales from the darkside" a lot around that time, so i think it might have been that, but i'm not sure. has anyone seen this and know what it is?

It was an AMAZING STORIES episode from 1986 and teen-actor Jon Cryer (sigh) was the college student who had the potion. Let me get back to you on the other teen-movie actor who co-starred in it with him.
Anway, this episode is still on the Sci-fi channel from time to time. I even think I have it on tape. ( I love Jon Cryer....sigh)

and it aired Sept. 86.

Can't find the name of the other teen actor that played Cryer's obnoxious side kick but this should help ya.
