I saw this movie a few years ago. It was made in the last couple of years maybe late 90s. The move starts out with this woman being questioned in a police station about a murder. She tells them about the events leading up to it. The events leading up to it are this woman(the one being questioned) who gets mugged on the street. This guy sees this and helps her. She hurt her ankle in the struggle and he takes her back to his apartment. He lives in this old apartment building where the power goes of frequently. They eventually fall in love and get married. She meets some of his friends at a party and she learns that her husband had a previous wife who was murdered supposedly by a burglar in the apartment she and her husband are living in now. They tell her that his wife was a possesive vindictive woman. Soon strange things start happening in the apartment like things getting moved around, finding glasses with lipstick stains on them and finding her cat drowned in a bathtub. She even finds a letter(or maybe a diary) that talks about how this guys previous wife saw him cheating on her with another woman. His current wife now suspects that her husband is cheating on her. When some of her friends try to help her find out they start dying. Two murders I remember clearly are a woman(with a leg brace) being pushed out a window after she figures out whats going on and another person is crushed when a gargoyle is pushed off a building. The woman is getting very paranoid that she is next. One night when she goes back to her apartment buidling(and the power goes out). She suspects that someone might be in her apartment and it's her husbands first wife! His first wife is not actually alive because the husband is not aware of it but she isn't a ghost either. She still thinsk that she is married to her husband. The two women start a fight and during the struggle his first wife is killed exactly how her murder was described previously in the movie. So the husbands second wife killed his first wife. But neither were aware of it till then. The police come by because the husband was worried about is wife they take her back to the station to question her which brings us back to the beginning of the movie.
