Wow... the listings here should be giant! I'd say stop Blair Witch, 'cause I hated Book Of Shadows... and am I the only one that didn't like the new turn on Child's Play, stop no. 5 NOW! American Psycho 2?? Are everybody retarded?! That doesn't make sense!

And to the sequels that should never have been made... why did they make an Omen IV?? It was a trilogy until some crazed up moron thought "Let's make a TV version." Texas Chainsaw should've stopped with the first... and then there's the teen slashers. Scream was ok, the sequels sucked. Urban Legend was a good idea gone bad, and the sequel was pure crap. IKWYDLS was entertaining (still crappy) and the sequel... I can't even remember the sequel, it sucked for sure.

I'm looking forward to Child's Play 5.

Candyman 4 is a BAD idea,I pray that there will be no Leprechaun 6 and.......that's pretty much it

I didn't think that IKWYDLS and ISKWYDLS were that bad.

Still looking forward to Hall8ween and Jason X.

"American Psycho 2." Bad, bad idea. Any sequel to any of the teen slashers in the 90s. A fourth "Candyman" would suck.

A Blair Witch prequel could be pretty good (I liked BW2 quite a bit) and a fifth "Alien" movie may work if they get an inventive script and a director who loves the series.

I personaly love sequels. I think that even the wrost sequels can give a little more backround on the first film, and help us love the film even more.

I feel just the opposite. I think ALL sequels should be stopped. Except for the next Romero zombie flick. /ubb/wink.gif

The only three recent horror films that deserve sequels are UNBREAKABLE, FINAL DESTINATION and STIR OF ECHOES.

R.I.P. Michael Myers, Jason Voohrees, Freddy Krueger, Chucky, Candyman and Pinhead.

Hannibal Lecter's escape at the end of HANNIBAL should remain a mystery/cliffhanger. I like knowing that he's still out there, without yet another sequel-prequel.

Keep Pinhead and the cenobites alive! I think they can really make them good.
I am a sucker for 80s sequels.

I would definitely want to stop the Friday series. How many times can you watch Jason kill the same fuckin bitches? But I am actually looking forward to Jason X. It sounds much more entertaining than some previous installments (8, for example).

I'd like to see URBAN LEGEND 3 and I KNOW 3. Someday, SCREAM 4. But I wouldn't see another Nightmare on Elm Street Movie, another Chucky movie, and another Jason Movie.

How many more "Children of the Corn" movies must we endure?

As long as a sequel is a good movie in it's own right or as a homage to it's predecessors I couldn't give a toss if it was Friday the 13th on Elm St meets the Killer Tomatoes on Halloween Part 69.

Sorry Fred. But I have to say Nightmare on Elm street.

I like most sequels- i think Friday the 13th and Halloween have gone too far now- weve had enough already!!! we know that They both kick ass!!!! but i am looking forward to Freddy Vs Jason (if it ever happens)

Also i think Making a sequel to American Psycho, much against the author of the books wishes is sacreligious!!!! it was just what Bret Eastern Ellis was afraid of- and it is happening! and basically, im guessing they are just gonna turn AM PSYCH 2 into your basic slasher- when the 1st is so unresolved! i most certainly wont be going to see that movie!!!

I say bring on the sequels. I love sequels, even if I hated the first movie or all the movies in a series, I still look forward to a sequel. I just have to see them, that's the way I am... I though American Psycho sucked but I'll see the sequel, which I think sounds cool. I definately can't wait for the next CHUCKY movie, I loved Bride Of Chucky, it rocked and was so damn hilarious. The best of the series... Also, I'll see Blair Witch 3 and I'm glad they are making a sequel. The first one sucked, the sequel was awesome...
I also look forward to Deep Blue Sea 2 and an Urban Legends 3 (if they are going to make one)... I don't care, I just love horror movies and I love sequels...

Sounds like there are 2 sides here. People who likes sequels and people who don't. I hate them, especially 'cause I like mysterious movies, where they don't explore every corner of the stories. Like, The Blair Witch Project was pretty mysterious, the sequel didn't even have much else to add to the story (I still believe it has nothing to do with the blair witch, but really is about mass hysteria), and that makes the story less imortant to add to the saga.

Movies I do like sequels to are Friday The 13th and Halloween... they have nothing more to say, and there was nothing mysterious about the story in the first place, so it's pretty hard to make a good sequel. But when they do, it's pretty awesome.

Every sequal should be made. Whether it's FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 16 or VALENTINE 5. I'll be in the Q for all of them. I LOVE SEQUALS.

I would pick some of the obvious ones such as Hellraiser, Candyman, and Children of the Corn. All of those straight to video Dimension Films suck. How about the all time shitty movie, Camp Blood, how did that low budget piece of shit even get considered for a sequel. I can't wait for Jason X and Hall8ween though.

I personally think sequels are alright (I usually judge them as their own movie), but a HOWLING 8? C'mon, who was on acid when they created this idea?!

Jason X was pretty cool, the cheesy but fun sequels are the main reason I enjoy Jason so much. I thought this was one of the best Jason sequels (up there with number 2 and 7).

I'm looking forward to horror sequels. Sure, some of them suck or aren't what you were hoping for, but how many regular movies (meaning non-sequel, non-prequel, etc) turn out as good as you were hoping for? The main problem with sequels is that they don't live up to the original. If it was a stand alone film, you would probably enjoy it. Not everything can turn out perfect.

Just for the heck of it, some upcoming horror sequels are:
2001 Maniacs
American Psycho 2
Anatomie 2
Bare Wench Project 3: The Nymps Of Mystery Mountain
Blair Witch 3
Bloody Murder 2
The Brotherhood 3
Crocidile 2: Death Roll
Child's Play 5
Cut Deeper
Dracula: Resurrection
The Exorcist 4
Final Destination 2
Ginger Snaps 2
Halloween 8: Resurrection
Hellraiser 6: Hellseeker
The Hitcher 2: The Prey
Jason X (well, seen it, but it belongs on the list anyways)
Jeepers Creepers 2 (can't wait!)
Octopus 2
Phantasm's End
Red Dragon (well, prequel, but oh well)
Return Of The Living Dead 4
Return To Sleepaway Camp
Ring (well, remake, but oh well)
Scary Movie 3: Episode 1- Lord of the Brooms
Spawn 2: Dark Justice
Spiders 2
Subspecies 5
Vampires: Los Muertos
Wishmaster 4

I dread this movie with every substance of my being. And I'm almost positive I'll hate it even more.
