Okay,I finally picked this classic up,and was wondering why everybody thought the music score was so scary. It wasnt bad,but not scary...or is there something im missing? Cuz I only saw the begining(Which I freakin loved!)
Does its real score come in later? Or was that it? please answer!

I really do like the Suspiria theme and it's truly one of the best in horror.
You say you've only seen the beginning. Well, the theme continues throughout the film and although it's not entirely anything amazing, it's something that sticks in your head.
I haven't seen that film for about 8 months, and that was the first time I've seen it, yet I can still remember the theme perfectly. As for other films, such as Maniac Cop 1 & 2, which also have excellent themes, it took me a while before I could remember them.
That's a weird way of explaining it, but basically all I'm saying is that it's catchy as hell and sticks in your memory.

Its all about mood with that score. hearing Goblin whisper witch! while banging on drums like tom waits on crack. In my opinion its one of the finest horror movie soundtracks ever.

LOL! I wish I could do my Tom Waits impression for you guys. I've got a sore throat, so it'd probably sound twice as good..
I LOVE goblin. I wish they'd released some real music. Their work on Deep Red is a million times better than the stuff on Suspiria, IMO.
