What the heck is this?

Okay a looooong time ago on Tv around Halloween there was a special on. I think it was perhaps clips from movies being shown and hosted by some guy, but I'm not sure, it also could have been a collection of shorts they made up for the show. Anyway I just turned on the TV briefly and I saw a guy and girls sitting in their car. I can't remember if they were just sitting there talking or they were making out. Then all of a sudden some pinkish slime stuff covered their car, and they freaked out and everything, and they screamed for a while. Then the slime stuff just suddenly...uhhhh un-slimed off of the car and dissapered or something. Then it switched to some guy hosting it, and I can't remember what I said, but I think it was a pun. Then my mom came in and started screaming at me to turn off that horrible show....

Anybody got any idea what this show was? Or if the clip was from a movie anyone know what it was?

I don't know about the show, but the movie sounds like "Beware! The Blob", also known as "Son of the Blob".
