nrobably duplicate topic, but this is my curiosity, is The Shining by Stan Kubrick really as frightning and disturbing and good ass people say? I know from ANOES that sum movies are really overated

I thought it was good. Not one of my absolute favorites but Nicholson did a great job and there was a good feeling of tension in the eerie hotel. I also wouldn't say that the Nightmare series is overrated. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

The Shining is an awesome, creepy movie. Jack Nicholson is the ultimate, freaky actor. Why doesnt that man do more horror is beyond me. And I dont think that ANOES is overrated by itself, but the whole series kinda is, yeah.

I guess it depends on what creeps the hell out of you. The Shining is my fav. horror flick, it gives me the weirdest, most unsettling feeling. Buy it!

Ditto! I can't watch this film sometimes because it keeps me up half the night. This film really gets to me.

Kubrick's Shining is a masterpiece, I actually detested King's film version(stick to books, Steve!)

I never saw it until I bought it three weeks ago. The book might be good, but I don't like it when people compare it to the books. The books will always be bettter.
