Spaghetti horror is another name for low-budget or B-grade horror. The name is coined because the blood in the film is so fake looking it looks like Spagetti sauce. You'll find this in a lot of Euro-horror flicks.

The Italian films are also known as Giallo films. They originally began as mystery/suspense thrillers but some directors have taken the genre to include more gore. Notable Italian directors are: Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci, Mario Bava and Lamberto Bava. Most Giallo films favor style over substance. (And that's not always a BAD thing.)
