other than a few exceptions,i tend to find vampire movies to be the most boring of horror movies.i think what did it to me was some of those 90's vampire flicks that had just a little bit too much drama in them.anyways, whats your opinion?

Mummy movies suck, not to fond of The Mummy or Mummy Returns to corny and not serious. Brandon Fraiser sucks at that type of movie, however, thats not horror. Anyways, There r no good mummy horrors I know of.

Cannibals, zombies and splatter/gore exploitation flicks.

The exceptions, of course being: THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, HANNIBAL, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (original only) and THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE.

Werewolf movies bore me
Witchcraft movies annoy me
Vampire movies dissapoint me

I might as well watch zombies (woo hoo!)

(and if anyone is despretly trying to figure out which format I'm parodying (yeah right) it's from the poem "Resume." It's about suicide but it's actually kind of funny.

Mummy movies are bloody boring.
POOFY VAMPIRE FILMS like Interview with the Vampire and Queen of the Damned, there is something about poofy vamps that turn me off. I like my vampires nasty, like the Near Dark bunch.NOT WIMPY LIKE GERALD BUTLER AS DRACULA.
Religious Horror: Ugh! Is there anyhting nastier than Exorcist 2? But part 3 was the best.
SLASHERS: Only a couple can ctually hold my interest. Most F13's are routine. Once Crispin Glover gets killed on F13: 4, I shut it off. This includes new slashers like SCREAM AND UL.

I really get disapointed with "science-experiements-gone wrong" science-horror. If there is an intelligent explanation for it, I am not interested. I like my disasters meaty, without a valid reason, just pure senseless mayhem. I don't like them sigh-un-tiff-ICK folk. Them's think they knows everythin.'

(And I'm really crushed at all the Brendan Fraser bashing. Please guys, stop it. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/frown.gif)

This is pretty much How I feel. Basically I dislike films with Satan in them, unless it is done with subtlety. Werewolfes are ok but not great, Mummy sucks.. Haunted house doesn't really appear to me either.

Skweem come on... brendan hasn't been picking the best roles lately has he? Now I know he can do better, Gods and Monsters is a great movie as well as the very underrated Monkeybone but he is allowing himself to get poopier and poopier roles. The mummy2, Bedazzled, Is his agent Blind?

Speaking of Brendan Fraser...has anyone seen a movie called The Passion of Darkly Noon. It's an intense little Lynchian movie about faith, madness and sexual obsession. It's a very, very strange little movie with a dark and brooding atmosphere. The subject of Darkly Noon's (Brendan Fraser) obsession is played by the very beautiful Ashley Judd. Every time she was on screen my eyes were nailed to her. It's a very good movie and would appeal to movie lovers who like David Lynch movies such as Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive.

Although Tod Browning's 1931 classic "Dracula" starring the immortal Bela Lugosi is one of my all-time faves, I can't seem to get into vampire movies (the fact that I have yet to see "Blade II" is a perfect example of this). Some I find mildy entertaining, such as John Carpenter's "Vampires," and of course Murnau's "Nosferatu" is a classic - but for the most part I find them dull and uninspiring. For those who keep saying they hate mummy movies, might I point out that there are many, many other mummy movies besides the two Brendan Fraser vehicles. Check out Karl Freund's 1932 classic starring Karloff The Uncanny, as well as "The Mummy's Hand" with Tom Tyler as the undead Egyptian, and "The Mummy's Curse" and "The Mummy's Tomb" with Lon Chaney, jr. as the wrapped-one.
