What are some SCARY Urban Legends in your area? And do you beleive any of them to be true?
There are two around my area.. One is Cry Baby Bridge the legend is that this women dumped her new born baby over the bridge into the water and if you go there at night you can always here an infant cring.
The other I foregot the name to but the legend is that thease kids in a bus crashed at the bottom of this big hill and if you drive there at night and turn off your car then the ghost children will push your car up the hill.
I found Cry baby Bridge to be true for sure , havent really tried the other one.

well in my area...we have old Mr. Green and his farm. Behind my old school is a forest about 300 feet away and you can barely see the top of an old house that is dirty and rotted in the middle of the forest. the urban legend is that if you go back there Mr. Green(creepy old guy) has an aresenal of weapons. (chainsaws, knives, axes, etc) and he kills you because kids made fun of him so he hates us .me and my friends have gone down there once(at night of course) and we saw these moving shadows and we heard voices so we decided to get the hell outta there!

Very creepy.
There isn't any Urban Legends where i live just a regular boring little town.
There is an old bridge south of where I live that legend says in it several babies of slaves were drowned. If at night you hang your feet off the bridge you will feel little hands grabbing at your shoes.

Okie's sounds awesome. And East_Side_Strangala, your ghost kids pushing the car story would be great if it worked....saves gas if you could get them to push the whole way.
Now I think all we have for urban legends would be the house nearby ours that somebody heard a scream in. So now it's supposdly haunted. Although I think it was just a bob cat.
Oh yeah and we have a coven of wiccans, but what town doesn't?

Crybaby Bridge is everywhere. There's one of those in Oklahoma, too.

There is a place in my area called thirteen curves. The legend says that around 70 years ago a newly married couple were killed in an auto accident. If you go there at night and go around the curves you will see the bride in her glowing white dress looking for her groom.
Another legend is that in 1918, at a rock quarry in my area that 50 men were killed in an explosion. Now more than 80 years later it is said that you can see the workers haunting the closed off quarry. The glow a greenish yellow color because they were covered in picric acid.
More to come later.

there's a million of them around where i live i'll name a few.
reflector alley- it's this road that ends with this house that is offset to left and surrounded by trees. the old guy that lives there has a ton of reflectors set up so that if you go down there at night the lights from your vehicle glare back and nearly blind you. he has a gate set up on a pulley that if you drive to far into his yard the gate closes behind you. it isn;t some small gate either it's about 5 geet tall and made out of thick wood. also i've heard if he sees you in his yard he'll come out and try breaking your window. it's definetly a creepy place.
another on is the house on 4th street, where a man accidentally ran over his daughter in the driveway. so the family painted the driveway bright red and put a doll in the window in remembrence of their daughter,it's a pretty creepy place too.

There are two mental hospitals in our town and the second one is about to get closed. And here's the legend. In the older one, which is about to get closed, a doctor he led the place many years ago, had an apartment near the hospital and it's still there and some say so is the doctor too. There's only one thing, that's the doctor died there fourteen years ago in a terrible accident. The hospital owns the building and you can lend for something special like wedding parties or birthdays, because it's so big. Many people I know have spent a night there and some of them come home before the morning. It hasn't been used for parties in a long time. The guests could hear footsteps and the doors close by themselves in the upstairs even there was nobody there. Kids are afraid of that place and wouldn't even come to some parties. A creepy place. I should pay a visit there.

There's a bridge in my town and the story is that when it was made some guy killed a couple of teenagers and cemented them into the walls now they say if you walk through at night you can hear their ghosts pounding from within the walls.I heard this story about 16 years ago when I was 8 and used to play at the park nearby, I never went under that bridge!! You'll believe anything when your young.

There is a train trussel where I live. About 15 years ago a woman and man were killed below it. They were said to have been swept away by the creek. It's said some nights even when it's not raining they will use the water to sweep you away.
