his best film is probably The Beyond ( zombie flick ) I have not seen it yet because I have not found it yet.
The House By The Cementery is also a good film, very creepy and disturbing and with an endind SPOILER that turns bad.
Zombie is also good, although the film is rather slow but it is really worth viewing.

The House By The Cemetary and Zombie (or "Zombie 2", as it`s sometimes called - don`t ask) are both really cool. I definetly recommend House By The Cemetary, at least. I also saw The Gates Of Hell (that was a Fulci movie....right?), but I really didn`t like that one at all.

Fulci is so hard to find, that you might have to buy the films just to see them. I have Zombie(Anchor Bay VHS) and The Beyond(Anchor Bay Limited Edition DVD Tin) and they are both pretty good, so if you have the money, order these. I give them both 8/10, and Beyond is slightly better in my opinion.

Fulci does have a style of its own, especially The Beyond. It does have a lot of gore, but its not too excessive and the story is good too. The zombie make-up in The Beyond and Zombie are some of the best I've seen. The Beyond has a great DVD loaded with extras and theres only 20,000 copies. You could probably get a good deal on eBay. For Zombie you should buy the Vhs because I heard the DVD isn't too good, with bad picture quality. So go ahead and get The Beyond and if you like it, maybe get Zombie too. If you don't like it, I'm sure you could sell it on Ebay or something.

Like everyone else says ZOMBIE, THE BEYOND, and HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY are his best and probably his only good films. If you dont like them, you will positively hate all his other films. Whatever you do, dont get DEMONIA. It looks good, but its a total dookie bomb. I wasted 25 bucks on that piece o' poo.

Fulci may not have been a great director but he was great at what he did. If that makes any sense.
Best to Worst to own:
The Beyond
House by the Cemetary
Zombie
The Gates of Hell
If you are as lucky as I am to have an awsome B movie rentak store close to home give them all a try.
One of his more under rated movies IMHO is Don't Torture a Duckling, it is not his standard horror but a good story.

the most atmospheric film from Fulci is according to me : The House By The Cementery.
He had the sense of the atmosphere, this director was like Argento able to create atmosphere and genuine scares.

I agree with most of what pennywise46
has to say....
AT the end of the day you can't go thru life without seeing a few Fulci flicks...
Personally I like The Beyond the most. It's more unique and surreal than his other pieces. Great ending and some good camera work too..Makes fuck all sense of course but who cares....
City of the Living Dead is prolly next on the list for me. I love the buried in the coffin scene and of course all the bits with John Morgan.
Zombie Flesh Eaters is a guilty pleasure of mine. It's a bit by the numbers but in certain parts it excels all others. Few horror movie can equal the shark attack scene. It's a little over hyped I prefere the Similar Dr Butcher myself...
House by the Cementry is certainly worth a look though a little slow in places...
New York Ripper is definally Fulci at his nastiest. Basically a catalog of hard gore scenes strung together with an illogical plot..
I love The NAple Connection, a Fulci non-horror Mafia type film which has all the mean spiritedness off his horro entries.
Don't Torture the Duckling isn't bad either and there's a chain whipping that obviously influenced the Beyond...

How are the picture and audio quality on these films? I have seen The Gate's of hell and quality wise it was TERRIBLE! TCM looked marvelous in juxtaposition with GOH if that mean's anything to you, Hopefully the others look and sound better.
