Creepshow 1 or Creepshow 2?

Which one do you prefer, creepshow one or two? I actually dug both of these horror ''anthology's' (is that what you call them?), but I have to give he edge to one, but two had the best 1 of the stories, the ''blob'' one..I freaking laughed my ass off at the end, poor guy! /ubb/smile.gif

I preferred part 1 over 2, but yeah, the Raft story was the best of 2.

I prefere two over the first one. I enjoy the raft story and the dead hitchhiker.

I personally enjoyed the first Creepshow more. The second installment took itself a bit too seriously. Creepshow is based on a fictional horror comic book. It should be fun, goofy splatter horror like The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrell and Father's Day. Just my opinion.

I guess the 1st,because it had more story's.My favorite story was "The Raft" on Creepshow 2.Very good... /ubb/biggrin.gif

"THEY'RE CREEPING UP ON YOU" and "FATHER'S DAY", those two alone are worth more than anything in CREEPSHOW 2. And there are three other stories...I like the second one more than most folks, though; THE RAFT was nice and grim, THE HITCHHIKER was a good story (executed poorly in my opinion), and OL' CHIEF WOODENHEAD is probably the closest this one comes to E.C. comics, which both movies were influenced by.

Part 1 is by far the superior installment. Every single segment in the first CREEPSHOW was funny and/or scary (except for THE LONESOME DEATH OF JORDY VERRILL, starring Stephen King).

Part 2 can be enjoyed for pure camp value, especially THE HITCHHIKER: "Thanks for the ride, lady!".

I love two, especially the one with the wooden chief, although I still get creeped out by the original one with the guy locked in with the roaches...

Haven't seen part two in ages, so I really can't say. I know I liked "The Raft", and had nightmares for weeks. But, still, I'll probably have to go with the original because, well, it's one of the only movies that still scares the shit out of me every time I watch it, which is almost always when it comes on late at night.

Question concerning CREEPSHOW...the monster in "The Crate" whom Hal Holbrook feeds Adrienne Barbeau et. al. to...how did it survive nearly 100 years without any food? I know, I know...some plot holes defy logic.

Also, didn't the blob-like creature in CREEPSHOW 2's "Raft" segment look like a giant Hefty garbage bag?

well i must say that I liked one the best Father's day was too funny...and the cockroach story always gives me the creeps as far as part two goes The raft is the best story on there

Umm, maybe it hibernates? We don't know exactly what creature it was (looked like a gorilla with big teeth actually) so we don't really know how it survives. Hell, someone could have fed it before (there ya go, a prequel to The Crate).

Concerning THE CRATE, if you guys have the DVD you should pay close attention to the writing on the side of the crate itself. Antarctica...Carpenter....What is THE THING in the crate, anyway?!

LONESOME DEATH just made me want to cry... a mix of boredom and the fact i hate to see retards in pain. Creepshow 1 was best though

RAFT on CS2 was good the stephen king story out of book skeleton crew is much better though

Creepshow was a pretty decent movie. Uneven and overlong, but often entertaining. I didn't like the second one at all, it had a few good bits, but overall I was pretty indifferent to it.

CREEPSHOW = 6/10
CREEPSHOW 2 = 4/10

I didn't like the fact that they changed the Creep in part 2. But King story's are always interesting, so 2's ok. It would have been MUCH better if Romero had been involved in it.

Its ALL about the raft...what a story...like Arrow said, the most inapropiate (SP cause Im Hammered) breast flash in history!!! what a movie...

I found the first one to be a tad boring while the 2nd was gripping...

Interesting so many are mentioning The Raft...I think it's the only one in either Creepshow actually based on one of his short stories...and it's very faithful.
