I remember this one I had some 10yrs ago that still gives me the creeps! It was actually kind of like the movie The Sentinel.
I had just moved into a sky scraper by myself. It had kind of a Towering Inferno look to it. It was suppose to be a brand new bldg and there were only a few of us that lived in it.
The apartment was unfinished. In the dream I lived on the 50th floor with four other people, but I never saw them.
It seemed to always be dark and foggy. I remember being asleep in this dark, quiet new apartment and hearing a strange mechanical noise. I looked at my clock and saw that the power was out. I remember I had to go out into the dark hallway- and it was all lit in this weird pale blue fog-like mist. I was trying to find anyone else on the floor who knew if the maintenence person was called but I couldn't get anyone to answer their doors! I kept hearing this mechanical sound and I thought maybe it was the boiler room.
I had to walk down the dark hallway with my hands outstretched trying to feel the walls to guide me.
I found the boiler room and the loud noise seemed to be right behind the door. I was petrified but I wanted to see if maybe it was someone trying to get the electricity on. I opened the door and didn't see anyone in there. All of a sudden I got freaked out and crouched down beside the door just starring out into the darkness when I saw it.
This pale blue mist in the form of a person walked across the boiler room and disappeared into the walls.
I just sat there on the floor too afraid to move and the mechanical pounding kept getting louder. One by one like 4 or 5 spirits would pass by me and into the wall.
I remember running the hell out of there and heading back to my apartment. Somehow, and I don't remember the details at all, come to find out I was the only one living in the entire apartment complex on the 50th floor and it was inhabited by ghosts! What still sticks with me was the feeling that I was completely all alone up there, in the dark, with these misty-blue "things!" And I was alone the whole time!!! YIKES. Still gets me.

I had a nightmare about 14 years ago when i was 5 years old that i still remember vividly to this very day.
It started off with me walking around in a circus and i walked into one of the circus tents and saw Freddy Krueger dressed as a clown and even with white make up on. He started laughing an evil laugh so i also started laughing. Then as he was laughing his head started to deflate and i got scared and ran. When i ran out of the tent the circus had turned into a park. So i took a seat on a swing and sitting next to me was the old guy from the Poltergeist. However he was sitting so still that i thought he was a mannequin and so i looked at him and started laughing. Then he slowly turned his head to me and gave me an evil grin and started laughing back at me. It was the only dream in my entire life that i was actually woken up by someone else because i was screaming in my sleep. Then my mom told me that i wasnt allowed to watch scary movies anymore. Thank GOD i didnt listen to her. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I had a dream when I was kid...
I was in my house alone, sitting in the living room at night. We had a room made that connected to the house. A rompous room I guess. Anyway, the lights were always off. But I had the tendency to just peer through the glass door. Suddenly, a pair of glowing red eyes appeared behind the door. I thought it was our dog. It wasn't of course. Then it came into the light: it was a monster [I think] in my brother's yellow raincoat. It broke through the door and came after me.
Woke up. Scary dream.

teenkiller: Yikes, that sounds really creepy!
Circus atmospheres can turn so eerie so quick! That would make an excellent dream segment in a movie.
My worst nightmare was the one I had as a child:
I dreamt I killed my sister.
Needless to say, I was so happy when I saw her sleeping peacefully the next morning.
I suppose comparisons to The Shining are valid(you'll recall that Jack dreams that he's killed Wendy & Danny), but this was years before I saw it; hence comparisons to that(or any film) were the furthest thing from my mind.

Two nights ago I think I set a new record for myself in terms of nightmares.
I was in town, and I think I had gone into a supermarket. I'm just walking down the corridor into the main store, when there's a whole lot of noise behind me. I look back, and there's this huge muscular guy running straight at me. Clearly this guy is well-known in the supermarket, because a couple of security guards are trying to stop him getting in. He picks them both up, one in each hand, throws one of them straight through a window, and bites the other one's neck.
Now picture this. I'm standing at one end of the corridor, he's standing at the other end, blood dripping out his mouth, with this big evil grin on his face. He then runs straight at me.
I run off down the corridor, and somehow end up in the toilets. (Big horror movie mistake, what should you do when you're getting chased? Get the hell out of the building!!) I go into a cubicle and lock the door. I then hear this ferocious bellowing, and look round the cublicle door. Here's crazyman again, this time beating the crap out of an old man who's in the toilets.
All of a sudden, in comes one of the security guards, the one who had his neck bitten. He's still alive. He starts attacking the crazy guy with a huge plank of wood. No results. This psychotic is like Michael Myers on steroids. He can't be stopped.
Okay, I woke up eventually. Problem is, if one of my dreams gets stopped mid-way, I tend to finish it off at some point in the near future. I'm dreading it... but in an odd way I sort of want to see what happens http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif

The one I'll never forget had me at work listening to neg age music. This weird guy asks me if I want to go to his house where he can mix a CD up for me of his own new age music. I say sure so we go off to his place which is in the middle of nowhere. When we get there we walk past his dad who mutters something about "Oh, no! He didn't bring another one home."
We go downstairs and he instructs me to look around the stock of music he has, which is numbered into hundreds of different tunes in a metal box. He goes off while I'm deciding what I want. I notice that the last few dozens have been thrashed as if in rage.
When he returns he starts talking really weird, about his theories about the armageddon and his place in it. THen he turns off the lights and a black light comes on, illuminating this freaky mural he painted on the walls with flourescent paint depicting the end of the world.
He goes on and on about how he has been chosen to recruit soldiers for the great battle of good and evil, although he admits he doesn't know what side he is on. He says that kills people, only to ressurect them as soldiers. He says that he does it through a series of lethal injections. On on the shoulder, and a series of them down the torso. He says he has decided to add me to the ranks. I get freaked and decide to leave, only to remember that he drove me here and I have no way home!
I wake up totally scared and tell my wife the dream. Then I sit up and the blanket falls down and my body has all these purple nedle spots exactly where the injections were supposed to go.
Then I woke up for real, screaming my head off!

A few nights ago I dreamed that I was awoken in my room in the middle of the night by a noise. After I finally calmed down and tried to go to sleep, I voice whispers,"Guess who's under your bed?", and suddenly a hand grabs my shoulder and tries to pull me under. As I try to escape, I look up at the ceiling, and in green glowing letters is written,"Get ready for a vampire!". Suddenly, my mattress blasts off across my room with me still on it. It's headed toward my closet, and I'm expecting the door to open, and I'll be devoured by a demon of some kind.
Wrongo! Instead I just run into the closet at full speed, and as I get up to run, I can hear the person from under the mattress coming after me, and feel him grabbing my feet.
When I woke up, my chest was burning, I was so terrified. I immediately curled up into a ball, avoiding the sides of my bed, and checked the ceiling for any messages. I definitely had trouble getting to sleep that night!
The one thing that sticks out in my mind, though, is that stupid message. "Get ready for a vampire!"? What the fuck does that mean, and why would a vampire take the time to write that on my ceiling?!
Sometimes, I think my brain is trying to kill me in my sleep.

I was being raped and simultaneously devoured by a gang of demonic shaved monkeys that had been smothered in baby oil.

I had this freaky dream a few days ago. I was sitting in my living room, and I looked out my window and the sky was all orange and red. It didn't bother me, I dono why. Then the phone rang as I was chillin, watchin TV. It was my mom, and she said something was about to happen. She said something very bad was about to happen, but she wouldn't tell me what. I tried to get her to tell me. I was freakin out! She hung up on me after a few seconds. Then, I looked out my window. There was an explosion very far away. Then another one a little closer, and then there were tons of explosions all around. I looked closer and saw that we were being attacked by missiles and stuff. It was the end of the world. I looked around my house and saw my family members hugging each other and crying. Then I woke up and couldn't move.

Last night I had the creepiest (yet funnest) dream I've ever had!
I was in a hospital with my girl and some friends, it was night, dark...everything was quiet I don't remember what was I doing in the hospital.
I remember seeing someone lieing in a room's floor mouth-down when I touched him, it was michael myers! he quickly stood up and chased me through the parking lot, when i finally lost him, I turned back to the hospital and checked the room where Mike was, I only found a knife in the floor, suddenly...someone tapped my shoulder, it was my friend Louis, who was telling me to get outta there, when I turned I was paralized because I saw Michael's glowing mask behind him, I was frozen (Now I know why movie characters don't say anything...I WAS FROZEN IN FEAR!!) Michael's hand grabbed his neck and pulled him to a room, louis screamed, I ran away and saw Mike's mask on the floor...I took it and looked around, I remember leaving it in a counter and turning around looking for Mary J. (Jenna, not Jane) (My girlfriend) when I found her, i grabbed her hand and checked the counter, THE MASK WAS NO LONGER THERE!! after turning, mike was behind me, lucky for me Mary smashed his head with a chair and knocked him down. be tied him and put it in my car's trunk, my girl and I drove off to somewhere else, when we got to a house, Mike had escaped and owr friends were still in the hospital so we had to go back....that's all I remember...
ONE OF THE BEST DREAMS IVE EVER HAD!!
I LIVED A HALLOWEEN MOVIE!!
