Hey all, this is my first post for these boards and I feel like celebrating! In respect to that, I've noticed that certain beer is good for certain horror films. For example - I loooove to drink Kokanee when I watch HalloweenIV or Friday the 13th part VI:Jason Lives. It just seems right to me, I dunno. This may be a messed up topic but it works so lets hear it!
Whats your favourite beer for a horror film?

when I was splitting my time between living in Vancouver and Las Vegas, I became addicted to Kokane and that was the beer of choice while in Vancovuer, but in Vegas it's still good old MGD...regardless of the flick http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

I'd have to say Moosehead(Beer) for Horror flicks. Tequila for Romance I need something to make it more interesting!

Moosehead`s pretty good. Yuengling lager ain`t bad. Sometimes I like malt liquer 40`s, like Colt 45 or St. Ides. Lasts through more of the movie! Plus I like to keep it real to my ghetto roots.

Str8 OlD E drinker here, malt liquor is the way to go nothin like opening a cold 40 and have it gradually get warmer while ya drink it. 40oz, Troma Horror, and hot wings aint nothin better (no ill catch slack to Troma)

ahhh... NOW we're getting into the hard Stuff...
My personal favorite is a piss-warm flask of Southern Comfort...THAT, my fellow schmoes, is the only way to get drunk.

Now I have something to drink when finish exams.
I've never been able to mix it with ANYTHING, cause I had no idea that it would be good at all...
This is better than the Day I discovered Apple Juice and Jack Daniels.. *licking lips*

Wow, I guess I am no the only drinker in here! Nice to see some hardcore horror drinkers! When I saw Jason X (needed to be drunk for that one) I had a mickey of Candadian Club Rye that I could not live without! The smoothest Rye there ever was! I also enjoy caucasions for vampire flicks. "The Dude" had it right!
Arrow whats in a whisky sour? I've never had one but it sounds temting, ever tried a prairie fire?

Welcome LINUS...great first topic! I'm a wine and Margarita man, but I'll always go with Corona for the classics: PSYCHO, THE SHINING, THE BIRDS, HALLOWEEN, THE EXORCIST, THE INNOCENTS, THE OMEN, ROSEMARY'S BABY, THE CHANGELING and CARRIE. There, I just listed my top ten favorite horror movies of all-time.

Finnish beer and vodka are top notch, but usually I drink Coke or Sprite.
(BTW Renny Harlin likes to hide finnish drinks to his movies, like in Deep Blue Sea, it says Finlandia-vodka in the menu or something like that. This was the newest Finland Fact Of The Month)

Whiskey Sour ummm when made correctly they are delicious, when they use cheap shitty mix they suck.
Recipe:
Favaorite Whiskey (I use Bourbon)
Lemon Juice
Lemon Lime soda or sours mix
Lemon slice or Cherry

Try the europeans - beers, they are stronger than your beers, believe me !!
Beers from Germany, Tchech - Republic and Belgium.
Why not beers + Mary - Janes ? believe that is a good mix !!

The Zombie(AKA The Buffaloro)
One part of Each(small shot glass)
Jim Bean
Southern Comfort
Jack Daniels
Sky Vodka
Cisco
Jose Cuervo 1800 gold
Old English 800
On the rocks is preffered, maybe even necessary in certain situations.
Disclaimer-I'm not in any way endorsing this cincoction,it's obviously some potent stuff.I admittedly have only succesfully finished this particular drink 3 times in my lifetime, none recently. At least 5 other times i could only finish half, before, well, you know. The 3 times i did finish the whole thing, let's just say one of the women i slept with(don't even remember how or where i met her,not a good thing),i thought i was having sex with twins. One time,i don't remember how i got back to the ship(these were my Navy Days),and the other time i was dancing all night with a woman until i realized it was a man(trust me even sober i would have probably been fooled). So,if you want to try this,be my guest, but i'm not responsible for whatever misfortune comes your way if you do.Even people who drink moonshine would have a hard time with this one.
