Since this is a question about a certain aspect of the film, I'm moving it to General Horror.

American ambassador to England Robert Thorn (Gergory Peck) arrives in Rome and learns that the baby his wife Catherine (Lee Remick) was carrying died at birth (we learned later on in the film that the infant was murdered), and he agrees with a priest's suggestion that they adopt a child (Damien), whose "mother" (later revealed to be a jackal!) died in childbirth. Flashforward to Damien's birthday party a few years later, and you've got yourself Bizarre Death #1 (the hanging nanny).

I'm really confused about this moving questions about PAST horror movies FROM the past board to here...I could swear Arrow just told me that was acceptable, but I could be remembering wrong....not a big deal, but it's kinda frustrating when ya have to like overthink where to post in that case...
But anyway....what was the point (small Spoiler) behind that scene where they are walking him at the creek and he dissapears momentarily? It has always seemed so out of place to me...

I'm kinda confused also. What is the Past Horror Movies board for then? I would have thought that this particular thread belonged there 100%. The Omen is a Past Horror Movie. I don't see how asking about an aspect of the movie changes that. I'm not trying to be combative or anything. I just don't understand the justification for moving this (and several other recent threads) from PHM to GHT. To avoid any future misdemeanors perhaps a clarification is required.

I believe the intention of PAST HORROR is to disucss PAST HORROR movies - plot disucssions, give your own reviews, etc..where as a single question about the Omen or any other Horror movie is more of a General Horror type of thing, is that clear as mud http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif
Go here:
http://www.joblo.com/ubb/index.shtml
There are brief descriptions of each forum.
And just for the record it is not always easy being a Mod here at Arrow or even Joblo in general. Sometimes to make things better threads have to be closed or moved.
But if you are still unclear on what goes where feel free to email the mods or Arrow.

Izombie thanx a bunch, the funny thing is Arrow had answered this query for me via email, and I read it and thinking I understood it, deleted it http://www.joblo.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
But I definately now can see actually how asking specific questions on a movie past/present BENEFITS us Shmoes by asking on General....that way our specific Q's can be addressed by other Shmoes....
Sorry about interupting your thread, I started commotion once again Zipperha.

Izombie...I understand what you are saying but I can't say that in this instance I agree. I don't think this question should have been moved (and several others of late). It fits one of the criteria you highlighted. Namely "plot discussion". I'm not trying to rock the boat though so this is going to be my last comment on this. I am nit picking and feel slightly ashamed for doing so. Especially since I agree that you Mods don't have an easy job. You all do a great job and contribute to making this forum one of the friendliest and entertaining on the Net. I for one will try harder in future to post in the correct forum (i've only had one thread moved so far...pretty good record). I'm gonna shut up now. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hey guys. When questions are asked concerning specific aspects of a film, I have to move them. The judgment of whether or not to move a thread is one Mods have to make every day, and it's up to each of us to make the best decision we can. I felt that this question not only belonged in General, but that it would get a better response as well.
As izombie stated the Past Horror Forum is for discussions on plot, reviews and the movie in general.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not contact me. j/k. email me any time you want about anything, and I will awnser your questions to the best of my ability. Thanks.

I don't think it's being a jerk (maybe cuz I question things alot too http://www.joblo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif )...I can see it both ways , but as has been pointed out, I can surely see the benefit of posting a Q in General....and it's also cool to see the mods take the time out to address the issues, unlike alot of other similar boards.
