I know im a teenage guy, but I LOVE BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY!!!!! It's one of the best movies I have ever seen... Comedies don't make me laugh a lot, but I just can't stop laughing while watching this film. All the actors give such awesome performances! i think Renee Zellweger deserves at least an Oscar nomination and this film must be one of the best movies of the year! WOW!!! /ubb/smile.gif

I definately agree, this was a very good movie. One of the best I've seen so far this year along with Blow. Renee Zellwegger is terrific and carries the movie. She IS the cutest actress working now. And the impressive thing about her is, she has the acting talent to go with the cuteness. She is definately the front runner for the oscar next year, just as Julia was for Erin Brockovich when it came out so early in the year. It's way better than the overrated Notting Hill, way funnier! 8/10

EXACTLY!! I really hope Renee will get the Oscar, because she was really good in last year's NURSE BETTY too! She is sooooooo charming in this movie... I dunno why but there is just something about her that makes me smile and laugh throughout the entire movie! SHE IS INDEED ONE THE MOST TALENTED ACTRESSES WORKING IN HOLLYWOOD TODAY!

Was I the only one who thought Hugh Grant was great in this flick?

Renee was great as well. How can anyone not love her?

Haven't seen it, it's not out here yet. But I read the book a couple of times, it's so hilariously funny. And the weird thing is that you kinda identify with her in some situations.. Anyway, I don't go to that much comedies in the cinema. Come to think about it, they're most probably countable on one hand. But I'm really looking forward to this one.
Raena, can't wait for Hugh being Daniel! What an ass.

Colin Firth has the nice innocent look in this movie, and he is perfect for the role too. The always charming Hugh Grant plays the naughty boss in this movie, and I think he is also appropriate for the role since he had that prostitute incident (you know, he falls into that nice-looking-naughty-mid-age-men-who-fake-love-all-the-time category). All the supporting cast are energetic and fun to watch as well...

OH MY GOD!
How could you people actually like this movie?!
It was not funny, it was our British humour at it's worst!
I fell asleep from the point where Bridget was told to do a report on a couple who fought to stay in the country otherwise if the man went back to his country he'd be executed, up to when hugh grant had that fight with the other guy!

I was soooo bored!
A total chick flick!
Nohting appealed to me!
That is one movie i should have walked out of!
God!

Sorry i cannot express how bored i was during hat movie!
Im just glad it wasn't over 2 hours long!

Oh come on now, be fair dude... the comedy here is an excellent combination of slapstick plus situation, and it's high-quality entertainment... The jokes are wayyyyyyyyy more mature than the ones in many recent films!!!! How can it be boring? If you don't like british humour nor the cast nor the type of movie it is, why did you even purchase that ticket, I mean 99% of the chance you're not going to like it? /ubb/frown.gif

This movie and its performances will be an early contender for several awards when the award season comes... GO Renée!!!! She is going to be Saturday Night Live tonite whooohoooooooooo! /ubb/biggrin.gif

Adios for now

The humour was not incredible advanced at all. And why the hell did we buy the ticket anyway!

Well I was just reading some reviews, Roger Ebert (3.5/4), Joblo (8/10) and many other mainstream critics like it too /ubb/biggrin.gif

I don't know what you were watching, Bridget was a Great Movie! Renee looked really HOt in that bunny suit, all jiggly on top -- and the fight between Colin & Hugh was Freakin' Hilarrious, they fought like girls almost.
