Trivia question?
1. does anybody know who is the Man in Black?
2. do you know where the cult originated?
3. does the Man in Black want Michaels genetics?
-The MEN in Black are people in an occult who worship the blood God - Samhain
-The occult originated in Europe around 1100BC? something like that
-The Men in Black don't want Michael's genetics, all they want is to pass the blood line on so that all the cult members can survive (the more people killed by their "pets" who are under the curse of thorn, the longer the Men in Black live.)
In Halloween 6: The Origin of Michael Myers (Director's Cut)- Ms.Blankenship (woman who lives with Tommy Doyle) tells Danny that Michael's great grandfather was under the curse, and that he killed everyone in the Myer's house until he was burned alive by the townspeople. So to make a long story short- Mr. Wynn is controlling Michael who made Michael breed with Jamie to have another offspring. So their plan is to have two Shape's running around killing everyone so that the Men in Black get more powerful.... Any questions?

Going along with what ikilledtheshape said, an interesting story comes with the original Halloween novelization which goes off and attempts to put an explanation about what Michael becomes (not that it's necessary). The opening of the novelization has a Celtic story about a murder on All Hallow's Eve, and a curse through his bloodline. It then goes on to the night that Michael murders Judith, where his grandmother is talking to his mother about how the grandfather heard voices and was also a murderer, on Halloween. More interesting, the book also pays attention to Michael's youth at Smith's Grove and the strange murders that occurred while he was there (much of what was used in the recent comic series).
As for the story in 6, the actually Man in Black was Dr. Wynn, but the cult's origins don't go much further that that. Wow, I ramble!

I never read the original Halloween novelization but I did read the Halloween II one and I thought it was pretty good. Just steer clear of thos young adult HALLOWEEN books. The first was an okay slasher story, but not a good Michael one, the second just plain sucked, and the third was the best of the series until Chapter 16.

I have to agree with the teen books (although I admit I do have all 3) http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif
Fettdog: Sorry, I just don't think I can part with it...I read it every year before Halloween 'cuz I'm such a geek!
I've seen it pop up on ebay now and then, so I suggest to keep checking there.
